My neighbor's cat (sadly now moved away) used to hear me raking and run over - he loved to jump into a pile of leaves, root about and then leap out ... I could always count on his showing up every time I raked - I miss him ...

That's cool. I like how pets always prefer the free and cheaps things to amuse themselves with. Our cats love those plastic rings from milk cartons. Whenever the couch gets moved, you can always count on a pile of them underneath.

Sammie cat loves plastic bags - she actually puts her head through the handle and runs through the house 'wearing' the bag. Stella cat prefers paper bags - they make so much noise when she jumps into, or onto, a bag.

I just discovered that nail stamping is a thing. I just have to try it and ordered two stamping plates and a stamper from AliExpress. I can't wait to try it.

I saw this picture today on Facebook and was thinking how I'd like to decorate our house similarly, except with lights inside the book tree. Of course, my wife would have a conniption if I did, so maybe one of you could do it instead.

Maybe I could round up all the old/ancient catalogues my father has (some going back the the 1970s) and build one in the shop window. Seriously, I once spotted a Philips catalogue from 1979, he keeps them because "you never know", not for a serious collection.

Feeling somewhat proud. I just finished my first vinyl and glass etching project. Earlier this week I bought several sets of plain and cheap Ikea tea light holders (4 for €1). My sister has asked me to cut out Monstera leaves from paper, so she can frame them and hang in her new home. To go with that theme I cut out three miniature Monstera leaves from vinyl, weeded out the leave, so I was left with the negative, stuck it the tea lights and smeared glass etching cream on it. After washing the cream off it really looked good, if I say so myself.
It a quick, easy and cheap way to make a nice personalized gift for people, too. So my when I go to Ikea next I need to get some more sets. Now I'm looking for more fun images to etch. |

In my enthousiasm to give them to my sister I forgot to take a picture. Tomorrow I plan to etch a candy skull in my candy jar, I'll take a picture when it's finished.

I was looking on Etsy for some printable posters when I typed in "introvert printable" and found this poster.
I don't want that as a poster, I want it on a t-shirt (maybe a good excuse to get that heat press I've been trying to ignore). |

I saw that, too. I like the idea of lighting it from the inside -- my first thought was the spotlight with the rotating color filter that we had in the '60s.

As promised my candy skull etched candy jar. I didn't get a completely even coating of etching cream, but I don't mind that.

Could you please elaborate a little about the glass etching process you have adopted with some information about the etching cream and afterwash used, etc.? My daughter-in-law was trying to execute a similar project last month, but could not achieve the desired results. Perhaps it can help her.
