That is what I thought. Oh well, maybe someone will write a Skill that will read TXT files or entries from the iOS Notes app or the Android equivalent.

Ha! I just got off the phone to Amazon about my Dot delivery. I ordered on Friday for delivery on Saturday (Prime). It didn't show so I called them last night and they added 30 days to my Prime membership and promised delivery today. It didn't arrive today, so I called again and was told that it would "probably" be delivered on Thursday!

I cancelled the order, got a refund and ordered it from Argos; available for pick up from 9am tomorrow.

Did Amazon ever refund you the difference? Just curious. I bought a BF sale item sold by and delivered by Amazon on Friday (BF) and paid $92.99 USD. Today, two days later, I noticed it was discounted even more to $79.08 and was also still sold by and delivered by Amazon. I sent them an email via CS page to see if they will refund the $14. I doubt they will, but it never hurts to try. I understand them not wanting to cover price difference between two different sellers, but when it is Amazon themselves discounting the price then they should honor the price cut with a refund of the difference.

Delivery system meltdown I already had an Echo and Dot from release day, and Dot #2 did arrive yesterday, but some other stuff didn't...

I think they've made a mistake this year with the £3 Prime Now no-rush credit since these can't be stacked. If you can only use 1 set of credits per order, and credits expire end January, people will just stick most orders on fast delivery. There also isn't that much available on PN. Amazon should have stuck with digi credit

I believe they no longer refund price drop differences. You might get lucky though, you never know.

Yep that was someone said earlier in this thread. Apparently CS told them that, but CS will tell you a different story every time you talk to them. A friend of mine used to say, "I want lie to you, but I might tell you the truth five or six different ways."

BTW, I had a late delivery this past week too. It was a 2-day shipment that took 3 days. I didn't complain to them though as it wasn't that big of a deal to me. Just mentioning it as there seems to be more of those happening according to posts above.

The first late delivery, I didn't say anything; the 2nd, I didn't either; however when it got to a 3rd late delivery in 3 weeks I decided to send them an email. Not that the delayed stuff is particularly important but it's more on principle, they're not providing the service I'm paying for.

I had a very late delivery last Prime Day. Amazon gave me a refund and said I could keep my order if it ever arrived. It finally arrived and I kept it - a $50 gift card.

I wonder what Alexa Kitty is saying in cat speak?

I'll have to try that skill. One of my cats rarely meows but the other one never shuts up! Occasionally the chatty Kathy cat will perk up her ears when she hears a cat on the TV, but usually she ignores them. I think she can tell it isn't real.

The quiet cat gets upset though when she sees her on reflection in the mirror. She looks at herself, then looks at the other cat, then her fur stands up on end and her tail fluffs out as big around as a baseball bat. I can tell she thinks her reflection is another cat. The two barely tolerate each other, so she gets really upset at the thought of yet another cat to compete with.

ETA: I tried Meow! And meow cat but they both got no response at all. Meow! clearly sounded like a person trying to mimick a cat meow. Pretty bad! Meow cat was better but it only meows once.

I ordered a Dot. I just couldn't stand not taking advantage of the $10 gift card deal.

I also have added a voice authorization code, so I was pleased to see the order did not go through until I spoke my code. No more accidental Alexa orders!
