I have seen very low prices for a laptop, but I have not seen anything regarding desktops on sale. Maybe I need to scour newegg more thoroughly.

That sounds awful. I'm sorry you went through that. I'm guessing you were in a scooter waiting for them to open the sales? I'm sorry you suffered discrimination. It happened to my mom a few times but not all Walmarts are like that.

Once we were at the checkout when the battery in the shopping scooter died. My mom was so scared because the cashier was freaking out. A young associate went and got a wheelchair and lifted her from the cart to the chair then he wheeled her out to her van and helped her get into it. Turns out he was a medical student. I thanked him over and over.

The cashier was freaking out because she didn't know how to remove the cart and the line was growing. Poor girl. The other cashiers were giggling and giving the girl a hard time. The manager showed up and calmed her down and got two men to carry the cart to the charging station.

I could write a book. Adventures shopping with my mom.

Be careful of scammers on Amazon that have invaded its marketplace. They are all new sellers, normally have user names with random letters or only 1 name, offer free shipping and prices that are not to be believed.

This is why you should always check feedback before ordering from a merchant. It's the same with other places like eBay.

The problem is they will have no feedback (new sellers), only prices that look too good to be true. They'll be listed first in marketplace sellers due to low price. They really have invaded the marketplace in many categories, so just a cautionary notice for those searching for bargains on Amazon.

That's too funny - Target after Christmas is where I go for Ziploc bags too! I usually get enough to last me the year - I just opened my last box a couple of weeks ago, and am waiting for after-Christmas again...

You should never buy from a seller without feedback. It's a rule any ebayer knows. The Feedback system is there to keep you safe.

Only buy from well established merchants with 98% or more rating. Be sure to read the comments both positive and negative before purchasing. If you do this you should be okay. I follow these rules and never had an issue in my 10+ years of merchant shopping.

You're both correct actually. Blossom is correct in that if you avoid no or very low feedback sellers, you less likely to end up scammed in the first place. You're correct that Amazon will refund you in those cases.

It's still best to avoid the sellers that are most likely to be scammers in the first place though, as it saves you being out of your money for a while.
