I bought the Fire for the exact same reason. Didn't even set up email, because I didn't want to be distracted. Then I started downloading apps, and movies, and now I am looking at the Voyage, because I really don't like the Fire for reading. Although the text to speech feature can be handy. Glad it was only $50

How many of you braved the crowds and actually went out shopping today?

This monkey stopped doing that several years ago. It wasn't pretty when I got home

Not me. I haven't bought anything yet. I saw the Instant Pot on sale but I don't have enough on my gift card. Someone adopt me and buy it for me.

I really haven't seen any really good deals this BF.

What size are you looking for? I saw the deal of the day one and blogged that, but then found and blogged a 4 quart one for ... 55, I think it was. I'm pretty sure that deal of the day (6 quart) one has been as low as 57 because I've been watching them. So that 68 deal is just an okay deal and is Walmart's regular price on that model (well, okay it's 69 at walmart). I think the Walmart model may have sold out this morning though because it was one I was watching to see if it went on sale.

Not online but at Video Only stores (WA, CA, OR) - Samsung Tablets. Prices good through the weekend.

Galaxy Tab E 9.6" Android 5.1 $149 $50 off
Galaxy Tab A2 7" Android 5.1 $99 $50 off
Galaxy Tab E 7" Android 4.4 $69 $50 off

If any of these had the most current version of Android (6.1), I would have bought one. Waiting until the New Year.

Not sure really. It just seems like a cool appliance to have. I didn't even know Walmart carried them. Maybe Christmas. I don't think the $69 that Walmart carried is the one on sale. Amazon's is the 7 in 1 version.

I went to some stores today. But only to pick up a prescription for my mom and to pick up the pill pockets I ordered from Petsmart for the dog. They weren't available for shipping otherwise I would have just had them sent to the house.

Yeah, or check that big bunch of stuff that walmart sells AFTER Christmas. I already have a slow cooker AND a pressure cooker AND a rice maker...so I'm watching them to see if getting one could replace those three things. Except at least two of the dishes I make frequently (curry and chili) require a slow cooker AND a rice maker at the same time...erk!

Walmart carries them and I think Target also has them. $55 to $57 is the lowest I've seen. Four quarts is good for two people (That's my current pressure cooker size). Fine for potatoes, but can be a tiny bit on the small size if I need to make giant batch of pinto beans for burritos (to refry).

The one at Amazon is not the cheap one at Walmart. The one at Amazon is the more expensive one. So it's a great deal.

Ugh. Amazon has been hit by a lot of scammers in its marketplace. Always new sellers and always unbelievable cheap prices. You will probably get a shipping notice VERY SHORTLY after you've made payment with a phony tracking number and a long expected shipping date (sellers get paid when they indicate item shipped and buyer of course thinks nothing wrong for a long time). I hope not, but let me know if the above is what you experienced.

I hope it's legit, too. Seems like a too-good-to-be-true price.
