No longer for reading news?

I've been absent for just under two years, but had written some cool recipes, e.g. for RealClear. Coming back, I discovered that some major recipes seem out-of-date... the Dilbert one doesn't grab anything, for example, and the WSJ one uses an ineffective mechanism for trying to get at the content.

I've updated the WSJ one and will post it soon. But is this no longer a common use for Calibre? Do people not use it to prepare their daily reading of the internet in an easily-indexed ad-free fully-cached portable form for both desktop and their tablet?

(In other words, is there any point in me posting improved recipes that do better scraping/formatting/etc for Dilbert, WSJ, RealClear, SlashDot, etc. - sites I personally read?)

Look in the recipes forum for activity or see https://github.com/kovidgoyal/calibr...master/recipes for a more detailed list of recent activity, looks fairly active to me.

But I suspect that many people that used to use recipes now just directly access news in the browsers on their tablets. Personally, I can say that I am still an avid user of the Fetch News feature.

It's in the eye of the beholder of course. I have updates to several recipes; Is the preferred approach for me to commit updates directly via github or is it really to post it here still?

Okay, I am posting four updates today to this forum. Separate threads to facilitate indexing and so I can attach release notes.
