Two possibilities:
a. You didn't post the book.
b. You bought the book before, but didn't read it, so you forgot whether or not you posted it.

To my everlasting shame , I don't remember hearing the name of Chesty Puller. But as the book description says, he was the most decorated Marine in U.S. History! Thanks for posting the ebook about him.

Rated 4.8 stars.

Memories of a Desert Rat
by Adrian Jucker MC 1920-2001

This short, fascinating, and very personal account of one man's war experiences, tells the story of what it was like to live on the front line during WW2.

There was a television program when I was a very young child called "Rat Patrol." I think that the unit was manned by Americans only. About the only thing else that I remember is that they rode around the desert in Jeeps, at least some of which had a machine gun mounted behind the seat. The setting almost had to have been North Africa, because that was the site of about the only desert warfare that the U.S. engaged in in World War II. I wonder if the program might have been based upon the unit the author of this book was in? I loved that show, for some reason.

Of course, I had to grab the book. Thanks for posting it.

The Rat Patrol is an American action and adventure television series that aired on ABC between 1966 and 1968. The show follows the exploits of four Allied soldiers — three Americans and one Englishman — who are part of a long-range desert patrol group in the North African campaign during World War II. Their mission: "to attack, harass and wreak havoc on Field Marshal Rommel's vaunted Afrika Korps" . . . .

The show was inspired by and loosely modelled David Sterlings British Special Air Service (SAS) which used modified Jeeps armed with machine guns as their transport through the treacherous desert terrain, and Popski's Private Army, there were no similar American units at the time. The title of the program refers to the nicknames given to some of the British Commonwealth forces in the North African campaign (Rats of Tobruk or Desert Rats). Consequently, at the time of the original telecast many British viewers took offense at the dominance of American characters on the program, the result being that the show was pulled from the BBC after six episodes.[1] (The series was later shown on British satellite television in the 1990s.) The team also don't seem to have a commanding officer.
(Wikipedia).

Interesting. I'm not too surprised that such an American unit never existed. It was television drama/action (think: fiction), after all.

Another show from about that time that I liked was "Twelve O'Clock High." I don't remember as much about it, but it seems like it was about our bombers trying to survive bombing runs over Germany. I had no idea what the phrase "twelve o'clock high" meant until many years later. The truth is extremely sad--staggering losses in men and airplanes; I'm sure that the television show minimized that and romanticized the bombing effort to some extent.

Grabbed all of them. Thanks.

Zapier was not a publisher that I was familiar with, so I went to their website;s homepage and to the webpage that they gave, inside one of their books, as their website. I understood what the second webpage was all about (books that they publish like the ones that they offered free and you posted). I know that I'm not the brightest bulb in the chandelier, but when I went to their homepage and then navigated to another webpage or two on the site, I had trouble figuring out what exactly they were talking about. Ymmv.
