Noreve said the leather will soften and I should give it a week, then things will fall into place on their own. Oh, the suspense of it!!!

Lovely color but, with Katsunami and Poppea information, I think I'm out of the market for this. All the points that have been marked as wrong are important for me.

Finally I bought an original sleep cover. But I am not quite happy with it: it does not work as a stand (I tried various position and various surfaces - it simply does not work here) and it has some tiny gap (backlash) on the right side. Only good thing is that its smart function works properly. May be I am too picky but I am continuing read this thread hoping to find something better. But reading your complains about Noreve cases I am feeling better and better about original cover.

I see... I've tried the Noreve cover again, and it seems you're right. I assumed the magnets where in the lip that curls a bit over the right edge. However, you'll have to tuck the cover *under* the lip to get it to stay closed. I wonder if there are actually any magnets in there, or if it's staying closed due to friction. I still don't like it. First, the top cover is obviously as large as the bottom part, so if you stick it under that lip, it's askew. (The lid is clearly offset to the left.) This won't ever change, because the edges on the right hand side don't line up. Second, I read in public transport, and the only thing I pay attention to is the intercom system calling out the stops. (That doesn't distract me; I've been doing it as long as such systems are in use.) As my stop is called out, I just tend to snap the Kindle shut, and put it into my bag / jacket or wherever. This has been working fine for 4 years. I often don't have time, nor the inclination, to start fiddling with the cover if I need to get out of a sometimes very busy bus. In the past, I just closed the book and put it away. Now I do it with a Kindle, which has an €15 cover. A €60 cover should get this right. And then the other things, such as the sleep function triggered by the folded-back cover, and the reader popping out of the cover with the slightest amount of pressure, are also not to my liking. I'm going to send Noreve a request for a refund. I just hope they don't throw everything onto the "this is hand-made to order, so no refunds" heap, as this black smooth leather/black lining is their 'default' cover. (If a product is made to order, a store is not obliged to refunds, in Europe.) |

TBH, what I really want is sleeve like the Octovo sleeve I got for my Kindle DX.

I think I'm going to give this one a try: https://www.amazon.com/Aubaddy-Doubl...dp/B01BN5AOCO/ It's "branded" for iPad Mini but the Aura is pretty close to the same size (~5mm shorter, ~4mm wider, ~1.5mm thinner) so it should fit pretty well. |

I have already received my black leather case Noreve for the aura ONE. I am 90% satisfied because it meets my needs.

The quality of the skin and finishes is great. I love this cover. Just for this, I do not think to return it. My KA1 will not go out of my house, for travel I have the gloHD and the auraH2o, so I do not worry that it does not have a magnetized closure. The problem of entering standby when folding the cover back have a easy solution. Put a small piece of metal mesh that deflects the magnetism inside. End of the problem (but discounted 10% of my satisfaction). Last edited by surquizu; 11-08-2016 at 03:14 PM. |

Mind it is NOT a sleep cover - I don't use the sleep function. It is very confortable while reading, but it weighs 146g, so I prefer to read without at home and I find it a bit difficult to separate the reader from its cover: I manage pushing on the hole for the off/on button, but it is not ideal. I hope I learn to manage it better. EDIT for the Noreve cover owners: how heavy are they? More than my 146g? If all pop free easy like Sweetpea's, and it isn't heavier than mine, I might invest in one. Last edited by anacreon; 11-09-2016 at 04:47 PM. |

I haven't weighed it, but to me, it doesn't feel heavy, at least not to me. The reader pops out easily. If you'd want to buy one, you could have mine for a nice price. I'd rather sell it to someone who knows what he's getting, than to go through the hassles of returning it to Noreve (if they'd even accept it back). Mine is black smooth leather, with black lining.
