Sam's Club Black Friday --> ad scan

Yay. I want to get a new phone. The ZTE Maven I use is my mom's. I paid $20 during Black Friday for it. Preferably something at&t compatible. I don't have a data plan. Hubby has to have one due to his job but I use wifi. His is Straight Talk using the Moto E from last year.

I'm also looking for a new phone--unlocked, AT&T. Amazon has two Prime exclusives I've been considering: either this Moto G or this more expensive Moto G. Hopefully there'll be a better deal for Black Friday.

Don't you track low cost cell phones for use as a media player? But not showing which carrier where the phone can be used as a phone?

May I suggest Prepaidphonenews.com as a resource for phones. On Sundays, the website owner lists all good phone deals and on which carrier they can be used, and where you can buy them. Most carriers let you bring your own device, as long as it works on their network.

I hoping they offer some good $10 phones this year, and I'm paying attention to Amazon's semi-branded Prime phones to see if they also go sale. They BLU was a good deal at its price point, but they're no longer listed on the Prime phone page. Maybe they'll be back?

I most definitely do. The phones I pick up are only used as media players. My current one is a Moto E2 (paid $10 last year) and it's used for audiobooks, music, and internet radio. I'll never use it as a phone, though many people will.

On the specs page for these phones, I list the carriers. I started doing that last year.

Thanks for the tip on that source. I'll be sure to check it out.

I'm looking for a sale on the iPhone SE (the *small* phone!), unlocked, AT&T. I'm planning to check Apple's site on Black Friday. The 64G has had its normal price dropped from $499 to $449, since about mid September or so. Dunno if it will get any better than that, but I'm waiting till Black Friday (or other sales) to order.

I have that one too, but it's not compatible with AT&T.

There were two Moto E versions last year - Verizon ($10) and Boost ($30).

The two Prime phones are unlocked, but they have lockscreens with ads. The ads get you a $50 discount - Moto G4= $150 and Moto G4 Play= $100.

I've been wondering how annoying I'd find the ads. I am not too thrilled with the Kindle Fire ads. On the other hand, I don't know if it's worth fifty bucks to avoid the annoyance.

The ads don't bother me because they're only on the lockscreen.
