I just updated. The charging issues I started experiencing with the 10.0 update were apparently due to some crud in my iPad's Lightening port (though it was not visually apparent). A given cable would work only if plugged into a sufficiently powerful power adapter, or only when the plug was in one of the two normally symmetric orientations. I used one of those tiny ortho brushes in the port and cleaned the contacts on the cables, things seem back to normal. The 'spotlight' issues have gone away and that return to normalcy did not appear to correlate with any software update. I don't remember having any other issues, so I'm back to neutral on iOS 10. I have still not discovered any new features that are even trivially or potentially important to me. Meanwhile it seems most of my annoyances are with app developers who fail to implement Split View or keyboard shortcuts that would make it nicer to use their apps on an iPad (Amazon for example). |

I updated to 10.1 too. The only thing I've seen in 10.x.x that I like better than 9.x.x is the Mail and Messages notifications. I like the new fancier looking format. I never cared for that super boring one color box that looked like a comic book caption. |

Any idea if it fixes the Safari page refresh bug that showed up in iOS 10?

It doesn't on my iPhone 6. I refreshed twelve times, sometimes I got the full page, sometimes the full page with smaller than normal text, sometimes about half the page and sometimes just a bare bones page with little to no text.

Thanks for testing it. Guess I'll be sticking with Firefox . I've seen the problem on a few websites; the one I listed was just the example that first came to mind. Last edited by HarryT; 10-25-2016 at 12:45 PM. |

I just tried it with Firefox. I get the same miniature web page as was in my screen capture from Safari. However, refreshes do not mess up the page worse than it already is. I really think the web designer is totally confused on how to design web pages that work on multiple devices at multiple resolutions. A tiny web page is totally annoying to me. S/he seems to be using a percentage value for right and left margins and the page content frame. Bad form to use for a mobile device. It probably was designed for computer monitors with little or no thought given to displaying it on mobile devices.

I'm sure you're right, but it's a site I've been using regularly for many years, and Safari under iOS 10 is the only web browser it's ever messed up with, which is a minor irritation. Works fine with every other browser under every operating system. Worked fine with Safari too, prior to iOS 10.

The only things I have noticed are that 1. Background App refresh gets turned on for all apps every time any app is updated 2. Can't bulk delete in the Mail app anymore |
