Thanks, I appreciate it; but I'm prepared. The worse that'll happen where I live is some minor wind damage to trees causing power outages. I'm not in any flood zones, so flooding won't be a problem. Being retired, I don't have to worry about getting to work. Got plenty of food and supplies, so I'm set.

Edit: I stay prepared all the time, so there's no last-minute scramble for needed supplies.

Having gone through a little more than a week of no power after the Halloween blizzard of 2011 and then more than a week of no power (and two weeks of no cell phone coverage) after Sandy in 2012, I do the same!

Better safe than sorry. While others are scrambling for batteries, food, water, and generators, I kick back with a good book on my Echo. Anyway, we dodged a bullet here in the Sound. The storm veered to the northwest about 40 miles off the coast.

80F here in St Louis in October!!! They say it's supposed to get to 92F That's got to be a record for this time of the year.

Just looked it up 88F is the current record set back in the 50s. We are 20+ degrees above normal today.

It was sunny with temps in the mid-80s today. It was in the 80s yesterday and it's supposed to be in the 80s tomorrow. Apparently the warm spell kicked up allergens -- I've had a miserable headache since last night.

It's supposed to be cooler on Thursday -- with scattered thunderstorms.

Today was supposed to be our last warm day, but I see someone placed a last minute order for 80° F tomorrow. The weekend still looks cool.

It's cold and wet. We had the most crazy lightning storm that lasted from 7pm to 3AM. After two super hot days it's going to get near 32F tonight.

People are talking about last night's storm.

Mother and daughters on their way to a religious service when their car was hit by lightning. They are okay.

A guy's house got hit and it fried all the wiring and devices. Thousands of dollars in damage.

A woman said one strike was so close it shook her wall pictures off the wall.

This was one unusual storm. Hubby and I got very little sleep because of it.
