He is a man with no past— a wanderer without memory of his origins. He calls himself Valentine. As a member of a motley group of entertainers, he travels across the magical planet of Majipoor, always hoping he will meet someone who can give him back what he has lost.

And then, he begins to dream--and to receive messages in those dreams. Messages that tell him that he is far more than a common vagabond—he is a lord, a king turned out of his castle. Now his travels have a purpose—to return to his home, discover what enemy took his memory, and claim the destiny that awaits him…

So since this book is available, just at a full price, perhaps something could be tried.
It will work, provided the ASIN is the same in both countries. Often there is a different publisher, so different ASINs, in which case you are offered a gift card if you call customer service, instead.

If you had followed the link(s) to Wikipedia it would have been made clear .... hopefully.

Basically there is three series or sub-series within a main series -> Three Worlds

To confuse you even further, he has just released the first book in a fourth related series. Which no doubt explains the discount for most of the books in the first three series.

Anyway, I'm just the messenger ... not an interpreter ... clearly

Ok, so there are three series or sub-series, all part of a different or main series, with a fourth related series coming, which will help to explain the first three series or sub-series and how they all relate to the main or different series.

Got it!

Thanks!

Amazon UK: Dean Koontz's Odd Thomas series is available at £0.99 per book.

Has anyone read any of these? Are they good?

I have read only the first. There are some pretty good ideas, and the lesser ones can be tolerated, especially I think, by intelligent readers. I think you'll like the book a lot. Go for it. Dean Koontz has written so many books that some are not even known to his stauncher fans. Good, slightly above mid-list, author.

I've read most of the Odd Thomas books, and they are pretty entertaining to me. The lad manages to get into some pretty interesting situations and meets some really unique characters.
