If they released a Voyage with more than 4GB I would be interested. If it was as large as the H2O I would be very interested. If it was also waterproof, I would be selling my first born son to get one.

It would be even better if the Voyage is under 150g in weight without an extra cover to charge it with.

I intensely dislike the trend of making ever-lighter devices at the expense of battery life. I far prefer a reader with a bit of heft to it and a decent battery life to one which will float away on a light breeze.

The real improvement I'd like to see on my Voyage is access to my books on Dropbox. Even better would be syncing via Dropbox so I could sync it with Moon+ on my phone. Now that would be a nice feature!!

It seems very unlikely that amazon will release a competitor to its own oasis however if the oasis sold poorly (which is a given) then maybe they are refocusing on the voyage.

The thing is I don't think there is much that can be done to improve the voyage ,a bit lighter perhaps or built in Bluetooth for the new TTS software and that's about it.

A voyage-Esque kobo aura one however would be quite tempting!

Unfortunately for you, since Amazon already has a cloud solution (they are a huge cloud company), this will never happen.

One problem is that when they make Readers thinner, it becomes harder to hold. Also, I agree about making devices lighter and/or thinner at the expense of the battery. People have been using the thicker/heaver devices with no complaint. Keep the new device at a size that allows an even better battery.

What I would like is these devices to stop non-replaceable batteries. When cell phones were first released, they had a replaceable battery. So did music players, radios and such. Now we get non-replaceable batteries and a lot of people cannot do the battery replacement. So instead of buying a battery, they have to buy a new device at a much higher cost.

I like a lighter device and I think the battery life is good enough on our readers that we can (and do) give up some battery life to keep them light. If I had to charge it to continue a reading session or even charge it every day I might agree that longer battery life and a heavier device was better, but that isn't our situation.

And I sure do agree about replaceable batteries. I'd be willing to accept more weight for that although I doubt it would involve much additional weight.

I would much prefer to have a portable recharger in my backpack than to have to constantly hold a heavier device in my hand whenever I'm reading. (As it is I don't need to, because wheelchair USB charger plus the very long battery life of eink devices, but still.)

I got a question. I saw the Kindle Paperwhite 2016 in my local stores. But I can't find any info about it from Amazon website. Then I talked to the stores and they said it is the same as 2015.
Is there any difference of kpw 2016 from kpw 2015?

I believe the only difference (in the US) is that Amazon released a white PW in 2016. Same specs as the updated 2015 black one, just a different color option.

It would help if reviewers don't harp on how this phone is 10 grams heavier than the other one.

The mfgrs know as long as they keep battery life reasonable, ie, same as last year, they'll get a pass. But god helps them if their phone is thicker or heavier. Never mind if it runs faster or has a better camera or whatever.

Obviously there is no other ways to make the devices lighter at the moment.
