I've got at least another 3 days of this, and that's if I don't end up with pneumonia. Always a risk with my level of asthma.

Tried a bit of Talisker tonight. Just didn't taste right.

I swear by Cold Ezee or the zinc cough drops. My colds last a few days when I take those. Like you, I have asthma and a cold can kick off a really, really nasty spiral. I also tend to up the use of my allergy meds when I have a cold because it helps to dry things out. Feel better!

Oh, yeah! I buy my tea at a large Asian food market. It's not all that far, but it's on a major commercial highway heading into New York City and not usually the most pleasant of drives. Also, they have different tea by different suppliers most times I go there, so I stock up while I'm there.

Anyway, I have a few cannisters of different teas tucked away in the basement. I just opened up some Tin Koon Yim tea. It's lighter and a little "fresher tasting" than the Pu Erh, but a good autumn tea.

Yup, upped the asthma meds. That's the real risk, other than just feeling like crap. And for the rest, the Ricola is keeping the throat lubricated. And for cough control, nothing beats hycodan (hydrocodone). A half of one of those before going to bed and I'm controlling as well as it can be.

Recipe for today: Same as yesterday, Ricola, Inhaler, Tea. More Keemun.

Scotch doesn't taste right to me right before a migraine hits me ... or when I'm coming down with a cold ... I feel your pain -- hope you don't head into pneumonia (all feathers crossed!)

I too am battling some kind of cold bug ... high temps and absolutely no energy ... I've been sleeping 10 hours a day and doing absolutely zilch ...

Did go out today to lay in a spare bottle of Port Charlotte before hurricane madness hits and the liquor stores are emptied -- we're still waiting/guessing on Matthew's track up the east coast

No cold, here, but my sinuses do seem to be much more sensitive to autumn pollen than spring pollen. Just some occasional congestion and throat clearing. (Knocks on wood. Crosses fingers.)

Yes, just got a call from the local BC Liquor store -- they have a bottle of PC in for me.

As soon as I'm no longer contagious, I'll go down and pick it up. Not that I have any interest right now, but figure I might in another day or two.

Meanwhile, I hope Matthew leaves you mostly alone. This is a nasty one.

So, there I was, in the liquor store, looking for some Zinfandel or Shiraz, when I had a flashback to my college days, many (many!) years ago. There, on the shelf, was a bottle of sangria, imported from Spain. Now, in college, even the inexpensive imports were beyond my means, so this is a better class of sangria then I was ever used to, but it's fun for a change. I haven't had sangria in more than a couple of decades.

I'll be back to reality soon, but this is a kick.

You could look up recipes and make your own sangria if you wanted to. That can be uber yummy
