Reading Life Stats?

Hello again,

Please tell me. How i can transfer the reading Life Stats from Kobo Glo to Kobo Aura one?? maybe with calibre? or a dark hack?

I delete the files from kobo glo and send the Koboreader.sqlite to the kobo aura one. If its done, kobo aura one shows me a critical error, shut down himself and makes a factory reset.

What can i do to transfer this stats to the new reader. Its a fu**ing banana software. Normally this things should linked by the fu** kobo account..

Support doesnt exist from kobo. so plz help me.

Sry for my bad english

Did you try using the koboroot.tgz file from the Aura One update to update your Glo to 4.0.7523 and then transferring the database?

As for the linking through your account? As far as I know, only books purchased from Kobo and synced to your device will have their reading position, etc. transferred between devices. Sideloaded ebooks, even those purchased from Kobo, do not get synchronized between devices.

The instructions and links for sideloading firmware are in Direct Links to Kobo Firmware. The first post hasn't been updated to include the Aura ONE, but there is a link to the firmware near the end.

For the stats, this was discussed recently in Transplanting data base to Aura One!. It wasn't successful there. But, I'm sure someone said they had done something that worked.

Sideloaded books do work with Reading Life. The stats are collected on the device and displayed. But, Kobo only syncs information about books that are purchased and downloaded from their servers. This is a decision they have made and after six or seven years, it doesn't look like it is changing.

If copying the database as discussed in the other thread, doesn't work, you can try dumping the contents of the Event table from the database on the Glo and loading it to the Aura ONE. That should work, though I haven't tried it. I can't remember if anyone else has for other devices. It would probably better to restrict it to the rows for the sideloaded books so there is no risk of clashing with what will be synced from the servers.

There is a known bug with recording stats on books in the f/w releases for the Aura One. A fix is due in the next few days.

You'd be far better accepted here if you'd tone down your language.
