I'd already purchased Blamed and the next two books in the series, but haven't started it yet.

Just read on Facebook that Jude Deveraux's publisher dropped her.
![]() In her statement she mentioned not being able to write like she wanted and was being forced to write like other authors. She is looking into self publishing. Sent from my XT1528 |

Someone in this thread put me onto a Chrome Add-On called Library Extension....Love It!
But does anyone have a similar one that will check your favorite book retailers for the prices/sale prices all in one area? <I feel like I may have asked this or seen one before but cannot for the life of me remember> Please and Ty |

How long does it usually take if you submit a purchase to Harlequin rewards to get your points?
I tend to like some of the Christmas stories or novella collections they publish towards the holidays. When I saw the Sept. points bonus for buying series books, I thought I'd spoil myself by buying a few of the ones I enjoy (since I haven't bought any in ages) and at the same time end up stacking up some points to use when the holiday ones come out. But I submitted my receipt from my purchase at the local book store three days ago and so far, nothing. Also wondering how responsive their customer service is? There is an older series book I was going to buy yesterday, and it showed at 5.50, but when I put it in my cart, price went up to 11.99. I sent them an email, but so far nothing but the auto-response that they would respond within 24 hours. |

It took me about a week and a half. In fairness, I messed up my submission and accidentally gave them invalid information. Customer service seems to have a 2-3 business day turn-around on emails.

I should state that I don't use the automatic submission because my Harlequin email is diiferent that the one I use at other bookstores. So the autosubmit just bounces back to me. I have to request for them to manually update my points every time. |

Harlequin Code and Intrigue Deal
Harlequin Code received in email:
Fall in Love with great savings: Get 35% off, site wide with code FALLINLOVE - Offer valid until September 23, 2016, 11:59 p.m. ET. Offer gives customers 35% off the list price when the FALLINLOVE coupon code is entered at Checkout. Also, found some Harlequin Intrigue Box sets at a very low price. Don't know if it was an accident or by design (to draw in customers!). Put a list in the below spoiler: Spoiler:
MyRewards points might work with the Intrigue sets. I purchased some and the reduced price remained in the cart (of course I used the coupon too ![]() |

Might not be just the intrigue sets. I checked a couple other box sets of the series books and they were all marked down to 5.74 and 5.99.
And I was able to successfully buy one of the Love Inspired Historical box sets ebook version with a code from points. Last edited by Amaryllis; 09-23-2016 at 05:02 PM. |

Just got a newsletter from Thea Harrison on her upcoming Elder Races release (December 13 for those interested).
She's self-publishing and she's trying to get the same $7.99 price as her books released by her old publisher. That fits with the prices she charges for her self-pubbed novellas/short stories. They're "expensive" when compared to many other self-pubbed offerings - more in line with the novella/shorts prices from the Big 5. The cover looks very professional - you wouldn't know just by looking that's is self-published. Kobo shows it as discount eligible - probably the only difference between her Big 5 publisher and her own. I don't know how I feel about this. At first I was cynical and rolling my eyes. Knowing how little authors get out of the $7.99 cover price and how the more reasonable price of $4.99 seems more standard for self-pubbed, I was thinking she was being greedy, and she'd be disappointed. But then I thought - if people are buying her stuff now at $7.99, and the cover still looks professionally done, many folks may never realize she's self-pubbing now. |

Wow! Thanks Amaryllis! I'll check out some more. I can still use the Friday code (Buy 2 get 1) and redeem some Points.

I'm seeing a lot of Harlequin Presents bundles that are pretty cheap too, making them under the limit for redeeming the Rewards coupons. I have such a weakness for Harlequin Presents books sometimes. Who doesn't love a secret baby or desert sheihk or billionaire bad boy???
Also, a bunch of the Harlequin Nocturne bundles are only $6.99. |

I haven't seen many self-pubs doing the $7.99 price point, but have seen a few there and one or two at $9.99 as well. I have however noticed some of the traditionally $3.99 to $4.99 authors bumping up to $5.99. On the other side I've noticed some trad pub stuff that's been in the $6.99 to $7.99 range coming out at lower price points too (not talking about categories which have always been around $5). |
