Murchie's English Breakfast Blend now, but if this rain keeps up I'm switching to some Murchie's Russian Caravan. Which is a lot closer to what I'd call a Scottish Breakfast Blend, with a healthy dose of Lapsang Souchong in it. Tonight I'll treat myself with some Port Charlotte. I've earned it. |

Right now I'm tasting some Foojoy Chinese black tea. It smells wonderful, but is weak and flat tasting. | |

Peet's Major Dickason's Blend this morning, though I'm cutting the amount of sugar in half. The goal is to get to none at all, but that may be difficult--I've always drunk coffee with sugar and milk. There may well be much more tea in my future, since I drink that "black".

Switching to Murchie's Russian Caravan Blend tea this afternoon. This is a blend of Lapsang Souchong, Darjeeling, Himalayan and China black teas, and make a strong, smoky cup of tea with a good bite to it. A perfect rainy day breakfast tea. Can withstand milk, but certainly doesn't require it.

Bruichladdich The Classic Laddy -- A reasonable tipple, but lacking the depth of Port Charlotte or Talisker.

				Water, Tea and more Tea...

Been up for 2.5 hours. On getting into work: 0.5l of water. Since then, .75 to 1l for Twinings loose Darjeeling tea (the one found on the continent, a superior blend found to the one on the UK). Will probably swicth to Earl Grey next ('The des Lords' from Paris based tea house/company 'Palais des Thes'). Haven't had a drop of whisky in a while, and coke/diet coke is generally reserved for hangovers and mixers p.s. no milk in any of the loose teas I drink; however milk and one sugar for PG Tips when in the UK Last edited by c123; 09-19-2016 at 02:44 AM. Reason: no milk |
