have you been to WH Smiths recently? my local store always as them on display, so always would have been a better choice of word than usually in my own particular experience.

The Perth WHSmith does not have a Kobo display. It has the Kobo banner in the window though.

OK I caved in and called customer support for an update on my order. She kept me on hold for a minute to make a phone call, then came back to say that they are expecting to get stock in at the end of this week or early next week. So maybe we'll get a despatch email within the next week.

A bit more bad news,the kobo website now lists it as being in stock from 23rd september.

It might be awhile until stores have these in stock.

Seems like it's selling well online at WHSmiths. I'm not surprised as thier analog stores are utterly hopeless at, well, everything these days. My local whsmiths doesn't have any acknowledgement that Kobo exists, no signs, no displays, they even stopped selling the Kobo gift cards a month or two back. I don't think the staff even know what a Kobo is!
