She's only half Buddhist, on her spiritual side. She's half lawyer, on her professional side. Lawyers live for grudges......

No ... no ... no .... bearing grudges is simply something I am working on in this lifetime.

Not making much progress, actually. Seem to be experiencing grudge release block .... or something.

And, Zeep is DEAD TO ME

I have just finished gathering a whole load of kindling, and brought in enough wood to get me though the next few nights. The cats are fed, I brought in extra water (for them). I am going to pour myself a HUGE glass of wine, sit by the fire, and read.

I think you'd like corn-fritters, especially the way The Loved One/Bill Granger makes them. I think Bill has changed the recipe over time, as The Loved One now blends two-thirds of the corn for the batter, and keeps one third as whole kernels. The new KitchenAid helps here, as it blends enough to keep the batter light, otherwise you might want to keep all the kernels who to keep the batter loose and "messy":

I think avocado season goes for most of the year here - there's just a couple of months when they're hard to get at the Farmer's Markets.

Hmm, maybe Ricky's like my legal team, and one of those undead lawyers. "Zeep is dead to me", might be a compliment.

My favourite Sesame Street character is Cookie Monster. Just thought you'd like to know.

Cheers,

You need to read the Cookie Monster's interview with Matt Lauer. It should be on The Monster's wikipedia page. I snorted out loud at work when I read it.

Isn't a Buddhist Lawyer an oxymoron?

I always wanted to start a Steak & Ale place and name it "The Oxymoron". It just seemed fitting.

Ricky, you could always get naked and hang cats on your skin using their claws to keep warm with a cat fur coat. Might make a good S&M outfit too, what with leather and pain.

We used to have a much-loathed and oft-denigrated, federal politician from the Division of Oxley. Guess what her nickname was amongst her detractors?

Cheers,

In answer to your question: No. Buddhist S&M Freak would be an oxymoron, Buddhist Lawyer is just bad planning.

I've tried the claws in bare skin idea (accidentally). I don't recommend it.

Food processors I have (two of them, both Cuisinart). Problem with those is that I need (1) someone in the house who cooks and (2) a cat-free kitchen.

Don't have either of those things, so I eat fast food or mooch off the neighbors.

Oh, and totally off topic (but it's my thread, so what the fark), I had a neighbor try to convince me that horse turds are "odorless" .... yep, you heard me right, ODORLESS!

Must be why they have all those horse turd air fresheners (incorrectly called "unscented." Who knew?

We have a lot of allergy prone people in out household, and we always buy *unscented* everything, only to find out they make you sneeze just as bad as the *lavender day in the mountain spring air* ones.

And that would be because it's not the scent that you folks are allergic to. The scent is not even the part of the flower that people are generally allergic to. It's a chemical component in the (usually spray) air freshener. And, with flowers it's usually the pollen in particulate form.

Most of the time (repeat MOST, not all), you can use the solid types of air freshener without any problem (even if they are scented ... unless the sufferer has developed a psychological problem with the scent after years of having their immune system go nuts when they smell that particular scent .... yes, it happens).
