I think I tried to get a Cuyahoga card a couple of years ago because they had something I could not get through Clevenet, and it blocked me... or maybe I mis-remember. I will have to try again. Thanks for the heads-up.

50 checkouts is crazy - I cannot read that fast! When I travel for business I usually have a half-dozen books in my Aura - I don't borrow or sync my ereader with my work computer so I have to plan ahead. If we have Overdrive on the ereader it will be great!

I think adding Overdrive is great. Sadly, my library uses 3M. :-(

If you live in Cleveland, I'd think if nothing else you could travel to one of the CC branches to get a separate card, if necessary. They tend to list a lot of books way early, so I get on their hold lists.

I'm originally from Sheffield Lake and Lorain, although my folks live in Avon and Amherst now. I think I was figuring that my nearest location would be the N. Olmstead one, or maybe Bay Village. If I ever had to renew in person.

The integration of Overdrive on Aura ONE gets rid of ADE completely (yayyy, at least for me, I'm not a fan).

The basic run through is this:
1. Sign in/up to an Overdrive account and attach a library card
2. Go to Browse
3. Search for a book you want, turn on the "Overdrive" filter in the "Show" menu, or explore the Top 50 (or however else you like to look in the store).
4. In the search filter, "Borrow" and "Place a hold" are the first options you'll see. In featured lists or categories, activating the long-press menu might have the option available if the book is offered by your library.

I've had very little issue finding things I want from the Toronto library, but this varies from library system to library system.

I am in Lake County, in the Willoughby-Eastlake system, but certainly not far from a few Cuyahoga branches. Thanks!

Just curious--does anyone know how the Kobo One Overdrive functionality works with more than one library? I have library cards for four different libraries and borrow books from all of them--I'd love to be able to switch easily between libraries.

Not sure if this helps but I added a couple of libraries on the overdrive website and then adding the card #/PIN to them in the Overdrive settings though that did require that I sign out and back in to add the second. I'm going to have to see if a book available in only one of the two is available for borrowing to see if both libraries are accessible.

There are a limited number of libraries I can test here since most of the smaller libraries belong to the BC Libraries Cooperative and the individual libraries have limitations -- I could get a library card for the Vancouver Public Library but as a non-resident of the city, I would not be allowed to download ebooks.

Do you mean that you signed out of Overdrive in the settings on your Kobo and then logged back in to Overdrive and it prompted you to add a library/pin again so you entered the second library details?

Did it override the first library connection, or do you now see two libraries listed on the Overdrive settings page on your Kobo?

I see two libraries but am not absolutely certain both are working properly. I did this during the week but ended up spending more time culling my cooking related books so I could copy the rest of my library to the Aura One. 264 cooking related books taking up 4.6GB averaging 17.8MB.

The one test I did seemed to show both worked as the two books I selected were only available in 1 library and checked out in the other when I was looking at them on their websites but I wasn't doing a real time check on the libraries and there is no indication of which library the book is checked out from on the Kobo.

I'm likely going to be doing a factory reset this evening to go back to a known good setup -- yes, less than a week and I'm looking at a factory reset. Part of this may be due to running out of disk space while copying books over (see culling above), part due to testing some of GeoffR's patches with modifications.

Edit: Did a power cycle and now show only one library under Overdrive. The original library I added has disappeared from the list. Is this a bug or is it by design? Maybe George T. knows....

Further Edit: I'm now getting an error connecting to Overdrive from the Aura One. "We are unable to sign you in because of a configuration error. Etc..." Perhaps that factory reset is getting closer than the end of the Canada/USA tuneup game. First, I'm going to need a new Calibre library containing the books that are present on the Aura One since all sideloaded books are going to be wiped by the factory reset. I want an external uSD card!

Got a library card today with access to a sizable collection of ebooks. Being a non-resident costs me $50/year. Setup on the device was easy with no hiccups. Placed one book on hold and borrowed one. I plan to read a good deal of non-fiction using this method.
