Both Overdrive and the user guide should be there (they are on mine with 4.0.7523). I think I'd try a factory reset because it sounds like something didn't go right with your update.

As mentioned, the Kobo desktop application should do it for, you but it hasn't been updated yet. Otherwise, you can turn WiFi when you see news of an update and do a sync. Or you can manually install it using the download link that will be posted here.

Firmware 4.0.7523 will go to the Aura Edition 2
For those who are interested, I have confirmation that firmware version Firmware 4.0.7523 will be sent to the Aura Edition 2.

At present, it will NOT be sent to any of the older devices.

That Overdrive only works in NA is quite ununderstandable. If they are trying to sell more Aura Ones by making Overdrive exclusive, that is understandable, and I would buy one just for the Overdrive.

If only it had worked here...

That is a thing I'll have to see how to work around if I get it. I don't live in USA but I really use legally Overdrive, so why are they going to restrict the option? If it happens, it only shows they don't know how libraries work.

Wait, who says it only works in NA? The Kobo press release says: "Dependent on library participation, available through most public libraries in North America, United Kingdom, Australia and New Zealand."

I'm in the Netherlands and after the update to 4.0.7523 the OverDrive option is gone from the settings (it was there in the 3.20 firmware) so i guess they did make it region specific.

Yes, it is region specific and Kobo stated the places it would be available in the initial press release. I assume Kobo started with them as they are all English speaking nations. Plus the USA . Hopefully it expands to other regions as they sort out whatever technical or legal issues where involved.

We also don't know how Kobo are doing it region restrictions. It could be IP address based, and a VPN would get around it. But, it could also be based on the address you have recorded in your Kobo account.

I'll just be happy if Kobo fixes the wonky front-light adjustment in the Aura. Right now there's an odd lag when using the two-finger swipe that makes it easy to overshoot your desired brightness.

Could you make the user guide available here please? It is not yet available in French, and even after upgrading I have the "place holder" that tells me (in English) that the French version will be replacing it. I have no idea when.
