Yep but Chapters/Indigo they are now out of stock I believe. I ordered on Wednesday early afternoon and I am stuck at "awaiting shipment"

I am listed as getting mine by the 27th of September...

I wonder if demand has outstripped what Kobo had anticipated. IIRC (and I won't guarantee that ) they shipped the HD direct from Hong Kong too and it was a much bigger success than they anticipated (although most of the ones shipped from HK were with case). Fortunately there will be a fairly significant "getting across the border" fudge factor in your estimated delivery date, so once you finally getting a notice that it's shipped you should only be 2-3 days out (even though it will likely still claim the 27th).
In answer to your other question, apparently some of Kobo's retailers (i.e. Chapters, FNAC) either didn't get the memo that release date was Sept 6 (or are ignoring it ). I ordered mine from Chapters on the 29th and it arrived yesterday afternoon (in Canada).

Kobo US also says "In Stock Sept 15", I just preordered today, but I don't know when it will ship.
