Edit 1: I see that my custom dictionaries are shown in the list but all the system dicts are gone. Edit 2: Maybe some access rights were dropped? I've tried manually opening /mnt/secure with PBTERM and I get "/bin/ash: cd: can't cd to /mnt/secure" Last edited by brucelee; 08-30-2016 at 12:05 PM. |

Many years ago, the dictionaries were owned by the "sreader" account ("secure reader"?), and the login account was "reader". At that time, you didn't have access to the files owned by "sreader" from a terminal. Then, a few years ago, the login account became "sreader", and you did have access. I wonder if it has switched back to "reader" again? Running the "whoami" command in the terminal will report the user name, and "ls -l /mnt" will show the ownership of the secure directory.

There was a discussion here a little while ago about whether it was possible to copy the dictionaries to another PocketBook device. Perhaps that scared PocketBook into closing them off again, even though it was thought to be unlikely that it was possible to do that. Last edited by rkomar; 09-02-2016 at 03:04 PM. |

				Naviagate on dict list

Hi, I've recently started using dictionary, but having issue with finding out how to navigate on list.

I'm pressing word, it is usually not on list, so I would like to scroll up or down, but cannot manage how. I tried press, swipe down up left right, but list sometimes rarely scroll, but mostly it enters word, and I really cannot find the way how to use it. |

			Nice updates!

Last would even be more nice if the chapter info had real-time refreshing when using horizontal page scroll-bar, but I suppose you can't have it all ![]() "And Now for Something Completely Different": Is it possible to adjust the hypenation line breaking? I use the dutch.pattern file and tried to adjust it with the 'lefthyphenmin' and righthyphenmin arguments with no luck. Anyone has a clue? |
