Oh god, someone help me!

My "to-read" list is out of control!

I have:
51 unread books in my elibrary (53 read)
Another 9 mass markets sitting on my shelf (there are actually more, but it's been so long since I've even considered their existence I'm not adding them here).
6 more ebooks I'm buying in February (and another free one)
Another 23 that are coming out between now and October
Three books I want to take out of the library, and two more that I have from the library right now.
And 13 that are out that I want to read but haven't been able to buy yet (there are actually a lot more, but I'm trying to hold myself back).
And then in the next few days I'm getting those 16 free Harlequin titles.

ACKACKACKACK! I'm drowing in books!

Anyone having the same problem? At least I read two today and started a third. I remember the good old days before I had a Reader when I was nice and content with my five books a month, when I didn't have easy access to all of these gosh darn books.

My too-many-books problem seems to be due partly to spending too much time reading MobileRead instead of reading actual books!

Lightweight.

I have close to 300 not read. But they are on my Kindle, and in alphabetical order. ALL of them.

OH yeah, and there are a couple hundred paper versions on my bookshelf, including the 62 paper Agatha Christie I scored on ebay.

But I will die happy.

Hey, it keeps me outta the bars and off the streets, so my husband is happy too!

I don't even KNOW how many are on my "to be read" list. I went looking for "new to me" authors the other day in my preferred genre (cozy mysteries) and came up with a list of over 30 authors that I really want to try out or read more of in about ten minutes flat.

I keep all of my book stuff on a spreadsheet, because otherwise I would completely forget everything. Plus I like spreadsheets, they make me happy.

But I'm glad I'm not alone. I knew I'd find people here in the same predicament

DG, have you started any of your Agatha Christie books?

I have small piles of pbooks sitting around the house waiting to be read (I've lost count of how many there are), I have over 100 on my reader waiting to be read, and about a dozen waiting to be uploaded to the reader.

Plus all the ones I want to buy - both p- & e- books... I can think of about a dozen without even trying...

And my poll.

Has everyone voted??

lilac_jive , I was drowning in pbooks before I got my readers. I think my ebooks took that up by an order of magnitude (i.e. multiplied by 10). Then for my retirement in September, my office and coworkers gave me $325 in Barnes and Noble gift cards. Plus I can't seem to pass up good ebook deals. luckily I'm not really into romance so I passed on those 16 free books.

Nah, I'd rather have $325 in GC at Amazon. It would be worth more.

Well if we're going there, I'd rather have $325 for the ebookstore.

That reminds me, there's a website you can use as a search engine and it pays you in bucks, which you can redeem for amazon GCs. Clicky below:
http://swagbucks.com/?cmd=sb-register&rb=121492

And if you sign up through that link, I get points too. And no, they don't spam. I usually earn around 1 $5 GC to Starbucks a month (which takes a little more than the $5 amazon GCs, and I also always forget to use it).
