I'd seen enough posts about nonresponsive devices that I hit my limit and responded, even though it didn't really fit this thread. Guilty as charged.

I saw a YouTube video yesterday that showed the size of Aura One up against other readers including the Voyage, the GLO HD and the H20. It looks huge. I do like my H20, maybe a bit more than the GLO HD if I'm honest but I'd need to see the Aura One in person before I even think about getting one, and I would have to sell both my Kobos to justify it.

It's the same size as an iPad Mini, which I'm sure you've seen for real. That would be a good thing to use to make a real world size comparison.

I remember when I held a iPhone 3g for the first time, I thought it was ridiculously big, now I have an s7 edge. The fast majority of folk are used to reading on a 6" ereader, its doesn't necessarily mean its the ideal size. For me its all about weight as I read virtually exclusively at home. My pw2 in a case weighs 312g, my Samsung tablet in a case weighs 705g, I read/watch both one handed. I'm going to buy the Aura One and forget about a case, I'll buy a neoprene sleeve for holidays. iPad mini size weighing 230g, no problem for me.

Completely off topic, but it's H2O, not H20. H2O = water, H2 is hydrogen, but not sure what to make of H20...

kobo one 195.1 x 138.5 x 6.9mm, weight: 230g
IPad mini latest 203 x 134.8 x 6..1mm weight 299g

The iPad mini has a 7.9" screen vs 7.8", so the bevels are a little smaller. But go to a store and hold a mini and pretend it is 69g lighter, and you have a pretty good idea

This looks like everything I'm currently looking for in an ereader...EXCEPT for an SD card slot. This is a great size to read comics on so let's not include the SD card slot that would make carrying a comics collection around possible! Argh.

If I was going to compromise on an SD slot I'd have gotten a Voyage or Oasis already. The only reason I haven't is I want features that Amazon doesn't offer (i.e. SD slot). I guess I'm still waiting for an IMX7 Android based ereader.

That would be 10 molecules of hydrogen. A single hydrogen molecule consists of 2 hydrogen atoms.

I'm glad I could bring some levity to this thread. Anyway I tried reading in portrait on my iPad mini using the kindle app and I repeat my original statement. It's huge.
