I did pre-order it. But as the first pre-order batch at fnac.es seems to be already sold out, I will receive it between September 8th and 10th according to the confirmation email. That's OK though, perfect actually, I can read the first reviews here and decide over the week-end if I keep the order or cancel it.
I never even thought a second to get the Oasis when it came out, and still don't, but this Aura One appealed to me immediately ! I just hope it is not that huge and even more important, not that heavy. |

The weight won't be a problem for me. My Aura weighs 250 gr with its cover and as it will be my at home device I might use it naked. |

I don't want Kobo to think that I think the current two controls are sufficient (since Blue, yellow and white may possibly be achieved using just the two controls). ![]() |

It's not sure yet that the Aura One has an internal uSD card. If it does, what are the chances that it was not masked from the nanocoating? From my point of view, it would be great if it did and it was masked.

![]() I know when I switched from the T1 to the H2O, I never looked back. It's not just the screen. It's all the features I have available to make the reading experience better. I like being able to patch the system and have things as I want without the need to jailbreak. Last edited by JSWolf; 08-24-2016 at 02:55 AM. |

I don't know how much ya all understood, the review being in German.
In a nutshell: I actually likes it, but complains about the PDF handling and says it is tiresome to hold for one handed reading, something about the balance not being right. I am a bit torn between thinking: Bummer! Or just ignoring it because how you hold your reader is so personal, with so many factors to consider like hand size, cover or not etc. Any thoughts anyone? |

Poppaea, my 10" Samsung tablet is much heavier at 540gr. I moved up from a 7" tablet (so I could get more colour magazine on the page), and I use it one-handed on my exercise bike all the time. 230gr. would seem like a breeze.

Well, I was thinking the same Poppaea. Especially since I very often concur to Johannes expertise. BUT... this summer I read on my tolino and on my asus ZenPad 8, and the latter was obviously heavier but still comfortable to use. Anyway, I am keeping my preorder and we shall see...

Exciting! I love the bigger screen. I might wait for reviews on here before picking one up, but I love what I see.

I'm guessing that the texture on the back will make the One easier to hold one-handed.

You might be right. Here is another review where the author says:
"In my short time with the Aura One, I can confirm that despite its size, it’s comfortable to hold one-handed, thanks to minimal weight and a pleasantly texturized rubber back." OMG how am I to survive the suspense? |
