For me this size is the whole reason that I'm looking at the KA1: it will become my home reader and my small 6" Kindle can be a pocket sized traveller.
I just bought the PW3 and will arrive in September and I just saw the KA1. I KNOW I need this eReader but my Kindle is already in-transit. I am debating whether to buy this as well but I can't seem to justify 2 readers.

But you gave me one. So I will buy. *Hahaha*

The simple solution is to return the Kindle and buy the KA1 and you then won't have the unused Kindle (once you get and use the KA1, you'd not be using the Kindle).

Such are the ambiguities of the English language, as the "naked" would appear to be associated with the verb "using" and therefore to the person and not the device. (This might also confirm why the first scratch would be more painful, i.e. having no clothes for protection.)
Being naked while using a naked device is preferred though optional. I'd also highly recommend revising the laws regarding this proclivity at your local public library beforehand.

But yes, covering up a beautifully designed piece of hardware is a total turn-off.

Does this mean waterproofing is better on the H2O than the One? I was under the impression that with the One's IPX8 rating is better than the H2O's IP67.

No, the translation is right. Water can penetrate into the housing interior (where the H2O should be impenetrable), but once there, it can't hurt anything as all systems are coated with some waterproof nanocoating. That's why you don't need to close the USB port, for instance.

It would be best to have both (watertight case but still coating inside in case of wormholes) but unfortunately that option does not exist

Even for normal reading, some people like white, some blue, some yellow: being able to customize the color would be nice.

Maybe a patch could be done?
The orange color comes from setting the 'natural light' to its highest setting. You should be able to hit white by disabling 'natural light' entirely, blue by also disabling the 'natural light' entirely and keeping the brightness fairly low (I'll grant this may not be ideal for some ambient light conditions), and yellow by keeping the 'natural light' setting from the higher setting.

Natural light in this case means reducing the blue light in the spectrum.

I find it odd they made the distinction with the One, but failed to do so with the H2O. The H2O is water resistant, it just keeps the water from the electronics in a different manner.

My understanding from the translation is that they see the H2O as waterproof while the One is only water resistant.

"In contrast to the aura H2O One is not waterproof, but "only" water resistant"

I own a Tolino Vision 3HD as well as a Kobo Aura H20, and have been using the Tolino the whole summer at the beach, pool and so on, it's been splashed a lot, no trouble so far, none. On German forums I have never seen complaints about the Tolino having water damages.

Danke ersott (o gracias, como quieres) . Great review (I had forgotten to look at allesebook page this week). Mediamarkt.es to buy it in Spain, I presume ? I can pre-order it now at the fnac.com in France, but I am leaving in a few days and won't be back for a few weeks. Plus I'd rather wait for someone to post a pic of the Aura one next to the H20. If it is really only marginally bigger, I am so buying this reader..... !!!

PS: just found it on Fnac.es. Yay !!!!

If he was actually saying why he thinks it is a bad thing, and pointing to examples of reported problems, then OK, once or twice. But the idea that a "feature" of the Aura One is that it is to big to put into most pockets is absurd.

And I won't deny that I was having a little fun when I followed his post with my original post about pockets. But, I was also getting close to my limit on how many times I was willing to read his statement.
I got me a nice fleece men's jacket at Northern Tool last year. It has nice big interior pockets.
Oh and if you think that one poster is bad here, you should go to the kindle forum.

Unfortunately, I can't do that. I live outside the US and I ordered mine through a courier service so the return option is not available for me.

EDIT: It is an option but I'll pay like $100 to return.... so I'll just add that money to buy the KA1 haha

In case some one from Kobo is reading...

Please don't tie the brightness to the color.

I gotta agree with JSWolf. Not fitting into a tiny pocket it the major feature that makes me wanna have a ONE. Badly.

No one said you aren't allowed to like putting ereaders into pockets, I do too, but who said one is only allowed one ereader?

Your argumentation is like saying home soundsystems are stupid because the speakers don't fit into your trouser pockets. Some of us have soundsystems AND IPods (or whatever they fancy for their commute).

BTW, I am so going to get one ASAP!
