kepub Rendering Issue

I tried kepub and found it unusable. Just after the last complete line on screen, I get the top of the next line. The on the next screen, I get the rest of the line without the top that was rendered on the previous screen.

Is there a way to fix this?

Yes, don't use the Charis SIL font. The only time I have seen this problem in released firmware is with this font.

Play with the line spacing, if you've got it set small the kind of thing you're describing can happen with kepubs.

Perhaps your normal preferred line spacing for epubs is a little too small for kepubs. You could try increasing it a bit.

My normal setting is around 0.94 using Garamond but I don't get 'split lines' in kepubs with Charis (old modified version) at a setting of 0.85. At 0.8 I do get a few pixels of splitting.

I suppose it's possible that the footer size and font size may also have an effect.

I am currently reading a kepub that has Charis SIL embedded, and I noticed the same thing (the last line on the screen showed the top few pixels of the next line, with the rest of the line at the top of the next page). I increased the line spacing, and that took care of it.
