Unless I'm reading in bed, but then I hold the device in landscape (while the text is in portrait) as I always lay on my side.
Same here, but I'm wondering if it's like the Origami cover in that the front will stick to the back magnetically when it's folded back. That's important to me for propping it while reading on my side in bed. Origami cover sticks as does the Noreve for the H20.

Well, once again that's pretty impressive. Do you know if the RGB LEDs also function as white LEDs? Which would in effect mean there are 17 white LEDs when Natural Light is disabled?

Also, thanks again for all your hard work

Any comment about screen glare? With all my readers I hate that I can see my silhouette reflected on the plastic surface. I always keep the lighting on to compensate. Is the technology improved in recent years?

The RGB LEDs probably do function as white LEDs, yes.

What is the likelihood of an H2O update? Maybe next year at this time?
That's a hard one to predict. It's possible that Kobo plan the Aura One as a replacement for the Aura H2O. If their market research showed that the main reason the 6.8" devices sold so well was that here wasn't a larger device, then the H2O will disappear.

But, they might also be planning to keep the three sizes. If that is the case, I could see a revamp of the H2O in a 12 to 18 months time to match the styling of the Aura One and use the same water-proofing. The extra storage is easy to add by just changing the internal SD card, so Kobo can do that any time (some Glo's have 4GB cards but they didn't expand the partition). Whether it gets the new lighting will depend on how well it actually works and if there are any problems with fitting it in the smaller case.

My guess would be they are planning to keep the Aura H2O for the next six months or whatever is their update cycle. At that time, they would look at it and the Glo HD and decide if the need the devices and whether to revamp or drop the lines. Or that they are perfect as is and just keep selling them.

I would embed the photos here but for some reason the uploader isn't working.

And sorry for the fuzzyness; it's late at night and my camera and eyes aren't coordinating very well.

Looks like an interesting device, but what about software quality? Is it any improvement over current firmware in terms of stability and features (except Overdrive which only works in a couple of markets)? I'm particularly interested in PDF annotation (would be blast not having to use Koreader anymore which always introduces two new bugs with every one removed) and yes, speed and stability of the database. These are my main problems with my H2O so yet again, I find myself using my jailbreaked Kindle much more often than my Kobo...
