Hogwarts: An Incomplete and Unreliable Guide
From what I've seen all three are fairly short (less than 100 pages each) and basically fill in back story for Hogwarts and some of the secondary characters. It sounds a bit like the three books released earlier.

I also read that the new Fantastic Creatures movie is suppose to be the first of a trilogy. Don't know how true that is. I guess it depends how successful it is.

How about a very short charity book that got split into 3 parts?

Actually, to an extent, this sort of thing is what I meant when I said that Rowling needed to follow the Star Wars model. The story is set in the Harry Potter universe, but has nothing really to do with story line in any of the books. It will be interesting to see how it does.

The Star Wars model is doable, I don't think Potter is possible because Rowling's style, and her ideas are unique. There was no original Star Wars book. There has been a novelization of all three SW movies. The difference lies there.
