Yes. Although I'm unclear on what would make one go for the Aura 2 over the Glo HD since the Glo HD has a higher rez screen (for $10 more). Maybe something I'm not seeing in the specs and pics.

My favourite size right now is the 6.8". I really prefer it over the 6" devices. Didn't even take long to get used to it. And I think when I buy that One, I will see a 6" device as tiny ![]() |

I read quite a bit on my iPad mini so a 7.8" reader shouldn't be much different.

I own a nook STR and I do not use it. The interface is atrocious and the font rendering engine is terrible. Plus no collections and a tiny amount of memory for side loaded books. So yes, I agree 100% with Sweatpea's comment. I also own a 650 and T1 which I don't use. After going with the H2O, the T1 just seems small and it is slow because it needs a faster processor and more memory.

Which is why it makes sense to wait for the user reviews to start appearing. Right now the Aura 2 seems a fairly pointless addition to the Kobo line-up.... but we might be missing something. As for the Aura One, if you only read at home it might be worth considering, and while its not a great deal bigger than the Aura H2O, it will feel a lot bigger if you're just used to 6" readers.

I'm willing to say the difference will be quite noticeable even going from the H2O to the One even though it's "only" one more inch. There is a quite a bit more screen real estate on 7.8" vs 6.8". I was amazed when I went from 6" to 6.8" how much different that felt.

The Kobo One is roughly the same physical footprint as the H2O, most of the extra screen size was taken out of the bezel. So anyone who feels comfortable with the H2O will likely be OK holding the One.
I'm one the fence with buying the One, but with every day that passes I lean more in favor of it. That extra inch is very appealing, I'm not overly interested in the lighting features but they are intriguing. |

I'm pretty sure that's not true at all. Someone posted a comparison and it was quite obvious that the Aura One was a bigger device. The side bezels do seem slim though.

If one likes thinner, the Aura One is thinner. Using the dimensions from the specs, the Aura One has less volume.

I could have sworn that I reposted Nate's photos but they seem to have disappeared. Maybe I accidentally posted in another thread.

Yea, the One is bigger, but it's not as if Kobo took the Kobo H2O frame and just wrapped it around a 7.8" screen. They clearly also reduced the bezels around the screen. The result is that most folks who could comfortably hold the H2O should be able to hold the One. Add in the rubberized grippy back of the One and that becomes even more true since the H2O backing is smooth.
