I know I sound like a fanboy/shill, but I'm very impressed by this update to the H2O.

Other than the microSD slot, everything has been improved: it's thinner and lighter yet has a significantly bigger screen, it has smaller bezels and the screen is now flush, it has a blue light filter and even Overdrive support and improved waterproofing.

Overdrive support is a firmware thing and I do think the next firmware release will have Overdrive support. It's like Apple touting new features on new iPhones that are just part of an iOS update.

I see that the Kobo Aura Edition 2 is on the kobo site now as well, assuming this is the second device that everyone was talking about, 6" in this case. Preorders for this one start on Aug. 30 as well.

Anyone know if I can buy this from Chapters Canada? Importing to the AU, which is easier than buying from some Aussie stores honestly... holy hell though, I havnt been this happy about an announcement since the Voyage!

The Aura Edition 2 puzzles me. I'm not sure what its point is.

Should I need to replace my H2O I will be strongly tempted by the One, even if it does cost $282.49CDN after taxes. (I paid the same price for the Lenovo Tab 2 A10 I'm typing this on. )

Disappointed the One isn't using the new iMx7 though.

I can't say for certain that Chapers will ship a Kobo to Australia but their FAQ on international shipping does state:

No no, I meant, I have already bought and imported two H2O's from Chapters (a real pleasure, took a shorter time than from Aussie stores!) But I was asking if Chapters will stock the Aura One in their stores so I can import one from there...
