I made breakfast burritos but they were too bland. Next time I need some Pepper Jack cheese or Queso to give it a little kick. Hubby ate them with ketchup! ![]() Sent from my XT1528 |

![]() Another cheese you might try is the Mexican blend cheese from Walmart. It has spices. Or their Fiesta which is 4 cheeses. Oh and cheese freezes very well. Now did you get all energetic and make the tortillas from scratch or did you do like all the Mexicans around here do and buy them? Oh now if you like cheese dip: Queso, I have an easy recipe for you. Put just a wee bit of milk in a saucepan. Add half Velveeta (or the store brand) and half Velveeta Queso Blanco. When almost melted put in your favorite salsa and stir till blended. Very low heat and stir constantly. Are you using a gas or electric stove? The milk is just to keep the first cheese from sticking. |

I bought them. I have no counter space for making things from scratch. The cheese blend is suppose to have spice to it but it's still too bland for me.
I can't stand Velveeta or Cheese Whiz. I get this already made jar of Queso which is very good. I forget the brand. Everything is electric which is great I don't need another bill. I am concerned too about hubby. Picante yes, Salsa is okay too but ketchup......yuck. Sent from my XT1528 |

Oh and one other little tip, NEVER put a Corning Ware baking dish on a hot burner. Well I guess you could if you want ALL your neighbors including the ones that are hard of hearing to come running. Oh and you will be finding tiny shards for a very long time. Care to guess how I know this? Not sure which was worse, the cleanup or the embarrassment. |

My stove is gas. Though I have had electric in the past. My little oven that is getting major use this summer is electric.
Slow cookers, steamers and toaster ovens produce less heat than a gas burner. |

I've just played Civ 5 for a while. Still not getting it, but it's fun (mostly running after the barbarians to kill them).
It's now time to make a cup of tea, make a snack, put on my pyjamas and curl up in bed and watch something. I'm thinking of watching a horror film first (10, Cloverfield Lane or Ghosthunters) and then something a little less scary (otherwise I tend to freak out when I have to go to the toilet in the middle of the night). Tomorrow, for the first time in a month I don't have to get up in time to walk the dog. Although I will probably be wide awake by 8am. |

My friend Deb once put a glass lid over her burner so yes I know what you mean. I was over on the sofa when it went boom. She was near it but was not hurt.
We only have two working burners on our stove. I once left a pizza pan on a burner. It got very colorful. Hubby still tried to use it. It was only a dollar pan. I bought a new one and threw the colorful one out. We have a break from the heat today so I'm enjoying it. Sent from my XT1528 |

I don't watch horror at all. I'd never be able to sleep if I did.
I'm watching the Olympics and cringing every time those poor girls have to dive in that murky green algae pool. Yucky. Sent from my XT1528 |

Power is out. I threw our deli meat in the freezer. There nothing in the freezer but fries and bag of ice. There's a fire truck at the one unit building on the other street. We think power line might be down not sure. It's 70F outside so we will be okay.

Five weeks ago I got a bladder infection. It was bad for a couple of days but after a week it was mostly gone. Occasionally I would need to use the toilet when it wasn't really needed, this would last for a couple of hours and it would go away. However, in the last week this happened almost every day. It was really annoying, especially when it happened when I was working in the store.
On Friday I called the doctor's office and was told to hand in a jar or urine. The quicky test didn't show anything so they told me to call back today to get the result of the detailed test. I just called and I do still have a bladder infection and the prescription for anti-biotics has already been emailed to the pharmacy. I'm so relieved. I was afraid that either the test wouldn't show anything or it would show it was such a mild case it wouldn't warrant getting treated for it (doctor's have become a lot more restrained with prescribing anti-biotics since I was kid). Hopefully the medicine will work its magic. |

Last time I had a UTI they gave me a shot of Rocephin and it cleared it right up. I then had to take Microbid for a week but I didn't really need it.
Here in the US we have AZO which makes some great OTC meds like cranberries pills and Urinary Pain relief that really helps. You can take it with the antibiotics. You might want to see if that have anything like that there. I have had relief with lemon water and if you don't have high blood pressure. A little baking soda in water can help too. Stay away from coffee, tea, sodas as they can cause irritation with the bladder while it is inflamed. I can say this enough drink at least four bottles of water a day to flush it all out.
