Hachette books aren't couponable anywhere. Even some of the smaller branches of large publishers that used to be couponable (Carina Press for example) have not been couponable for some time.

The mystery of the coupons is solved: I travelled once again and could use the 75% on The Deed of Paksenaarrion. So it seems I won't be able to use coupons with Kobo France anymore. Now to find a book I really want to use with that 90% coupon...

If you mean the show couponable (or whatever they call it) filter I've found that to not always be accurate in the past, although I haven't used it in a long time.

Pretty sure you're correct that Hachette was couponable in some places (South Africa maybe or Mexico?), but I wouldn't put it past them to have added countries to the no discounts list over time.

It's pretty common knowledge among those who buy books from either publisher (Carina or Harlequin), or at least I thought it was. There were quite a few posts about it when HarperCollins turned then agency. Thankfully they did not force Carina to start using DRM.

If you like either publisher Harlequin or Carina Press they have a rewards program where you can earn free books pretty easy without buying anything. It kind of makes up for them going agency. Avon Romance is also included in the program for free books.

I use to buy my HQs at Fictionwise but I have bought a few HQs from Kobo too.

They never updated that--but they are no longer couponable and haven't been for a while now. I used to buy books from that publisher, but the coupons for them phased out (if they worked for a while in some countries it was probably just a matter of them figuring it out and shutting the coupons off.)
