Thank you, used twice so far. These are the times when it is good to still have several different Kobo accounts open.

I haven’t bought anything from kobo for over a year, since the times off the really good coupons, but I have used both the 75 and the 90 % in several accounts. Thanks’ for sharing!

Also I saw the referral program and although in the past I didn’t receive anything in similar promotions I thought I give it a try, since at the most I would end up with another account where I can use again the 75 and 90 % coupon, so I referred «a friend» and she got the 5$ credit.

However kobo says that the credit is for a book over 5.01$ but this is not what happened for me, I had to pay 5.01$ so in fact I had to have books in the basket in the amount of 10,01$. It also allows the use of coupons I used one for 20% in the first page.

So far I haven’t received the 10$ in the account that did the referral, but being kobo I expect that it will not show or it will take so much time that I will forget what it was about.

I tried them on The Bands of Mourning by Brandon Sanderson, the US edition since both the US and UK ones are available for French kobo customers. The coupons didn't work. I tried on one or two other books then gave up. Maybe they're blocked for IP that are not authorised?

The Band of Mourning doesn't seem to be couponable. I suspect you just haven't found a couponable book. You can check by trying with any book by Tor or Baen.

He's with a big publishers. The big publishers don't allow coupons. Try something from Baen, especially if you like fantasy/scifi.

If you've done a search on an author or title, then way down at the bottom of the left hand pane, there's a box "Items Eligible for Promo Codes". Click that, and it applies a filter. Not 100% accurate, it doesn't handle preorders correctly, but other than that, seems to work as expected. Makes it a lot easier to find something to use that coupon on.

Just to remind folks, or for some who may be new-ish to MR, a long time ago Crusader started a thread with various omnibuses, bundles, and box sets that were couponable, and that would represent good values if you had a single use high-% coupon.

There haven't been many recent entries in that thread, some of the rules about what is couponable and in which countries have changed, and some of the sets might not still be available, but it might still be worth taking a look at the thread if you don't already know what you want to use the 75% and 90% coupons on.

I tried both coupons on a random Baen book and they didn't work. I guess the coupons aren't meant to work in France
