I'm procrastinating, again. After packing all my stuff I now need to unpack it.

We have an air conditioned camper. We had to quit tent camping a few years ago. Our "child" learned how to work zippers and escaped. We couldn't put the zipper at the top because we were running electric cords in to power the refrigerator and computer then later a tv.

Oh my! A canine type "child", I'm guessing? It sounds like a large tent, if you had room for all those gadgets. A camper is easier, isn't it?

I have a teeny tiny camper too. 4 ft x 8 ft (2" narrower than a double bed) and nothing else. Well, tiny cupboards, and a car battery to run the fan & light at night. I don't really camp, just sleep en-route to places. I pull it with a base-model MINI Cooper.

Those are cute.
Yes, our last tent was an 8 by 12. We have a pop up. It is just a small one. At hubby's age, we are debating on whether to upgrade now that we have a regular size truck or just start doing motels. He is one year and a few days from being able to draw social security.
We did have a Shasta but one day the travel part decided to detach from the trailer part. We were doing about 60 at the time. He did manage to get it off to the side of the road. We had caught a gust of wind.
I'm not saying it looked bad but the truckers that were right behind us were white as ghosts when they stopped to make sure we were ok. Oh and one of the truckers was not naturally light. The highway patrolman looked, asked if we had rolled it. The truck and trailer were still upright. The travel part was scattered behind us and one side was flat on the ground.
He looked again and asked again. We answered no again. He walked all the way around the truck, only damage was one small area where the travel part had come forward before going backwards. He asked if we were sure we didn't roll it. He was just shaking his head in disbelief. Even the TV survived. 25" flat-screen.

This is our second pop-up. We doubled the big mattress, put in a small refrigerator, took out the back mattress and turned it into storage. Bought a take apart clothes rack from Walmart for our hangups. We also got both wifi and tv antennas.
My mom teases us about our camping since we have all the comforts of home.

Downloading the demo of Civilization V. I'm in need of a new game to play and when I heard that Civ 6 is coming out soon it peaked my interest.

I know that I tried out Civ 4, and didn't like it much because of the war aspect (I love city/world builder, but loath the emphasis on the military aspect of most games). But I read that in Civ 5 you get punished for waging war, so I'm going to give it a try.

I'll stick with Sims 2. I do have Sim City 4 Deluxe but that's so I can edit maps for Sims 2. . Hubby plays Klondike on Facebook now that is an extensive world building game he spends every waking minute he has free playing it.

Thanks for the info about Civ 6. I will definitely buy this game. It will probably be too complex for me, but I'll start at the weakest mode, like I always do for all games.

I loved The Sims 2, until each new expansion pack kept adding bugs and made it almost unplayable for me. The same for The Sims 3.

I played for 10 minutes or so, I didn't understand much about Civ5, but it looks like a game I would like. Today I got €50 from the cash back promotion from Samsung tablets. I had earmarked the money to spend on something fun. The complete Civ 5 pack is €45 on Steam, so I'm going to read some articles and watch some films, but I'll probably end up spending the money on the game.

I don't think my current computer will play Civ 6. But I've been thinking of either upgrading my graphics card or save my money longer and get a new computer. At the moment I'm leaning towards the latter. Mostly because the sound card is acting up now and then and it's one that onboard the motherboard.

Sims 2 is a learning curve but once you learn you can play without problems. I have the entire game. EA gave it away free two years ago. I had the entire game but it was all in discs now I have the ultimate collection version from Origin and it plays great with a few tweaks. My problem is the game is so extensive and even though I've been playing since the beginning I never have done it all. I get too caught up creating content that I forget to play. lol

The Sims 3 I could never get into or Sims 4.

I've been playing the Sims since the first game came out. I think with the Sims 2 it was a combination and my computer that messed it up. In the end I spend so much time finding and updating third party patches that I got tired of it. I can remember when the Pets expansion came out I kept finding microwaves everywhere. Turns out that a mod needed updating and the unupdated version caused dogs to pee microwaves.

I liked The Sims 3 mainly for the building options. When I get a new computer I might treat myself to The Sims 4, but I will probably just get the base game.

When it gets to games I seem to have developed a short attention span during the last couple of years. I tend to rotate what I play. My current games I rotate between are Simcity (the latest one), Tropico (the latest), Banished, Reus, sometimes I'll play Children of the Nile, Settler and Anno.

Me too I've been it since the beginning. I use create for Sims 1 as well. I've been into Sims as long as I've been married. Isn't that funny? 16 years. I only use a small amount of hacks. I do remember all hack problems of the past. I have like less than ten in and they are only to keep the hood nice and clean from problems. I never have an issue. The game is complete now and with clean hood templates from TwoRivers hoods are very stable.

Thinking about getting a new tattoo. The word "bibliophile", in a nice type writer style font, on the inside of my right wrist.
