Who here used to carry around a Kindle 2 or a Kindle 3/Keyboard and didn't complain about the size/weight? if you did this, then you can easily carry around the Kobo Aura One as it's lighter and smaller than both Kindles.

Expectations change, Jon. People didn't used to complain about the "brick"-sized mobile phones of the 1980s - they were only too pleased to have a mobile phone at all - but nobody would want to carry one around now, after having grown accustomed to having one that much small and lighter.

Look at the poorly designed Oasis just to keep it thinner and lighter. It's a really bad design. The Voyage is a much better design. I want an iPad Mini 1 sized iPhone 7.

I carry around my H2O and it's not a problem at all. The Aura One would not be a problem either.

Jon, I'm not going to discuss this matter any more with you. An 8" reader does not suit me. End of story.

Yes, I use such a cover with my Voyage. With the Oasis, I don't need a cover to hold it comfortably. As for the new Kobo, it would be even heavier with a cover on, so it's not for me. But I'm glad that Kobo came out with such a reader, many people have been asking for a bigger screen. And Amazon needs a good competitor. |

Imagine the Voyage with a 6.8" screen and a larger battery. That I think would sell pretty well. Amazon could then charged the same as the Oasis and given people something for their money.
