Kobo Aura H2O dictionary not popping up... ????

So I just bought a Kobo H20 and I'm having issues with the dictionary. When reading japanese text the dictionary will NOT pop up after a long press. I have to manually select 'In Book' from the popup, then change it to dictionary. So the text displays fine, and the dictionary works, but it wont show up after a long press. It's kind of an annoying bug, wondering if anyone knows how to fix it?

Does it have furigana, I find that interferes with the dictionary a lot. Pops up fine for me, just doesn't let me select the word I wanted. Is it set to Japanese language as per the metadata, ... is it EPUB or KEPUB? For Japanese mode only KEPUB works for me.

Can't imagine how "In Book" works, does it still let you select word boundaries? (Actually my H2O just crashed on me when trying to go in book, but it may be related to the enhanced japanese dictionary I'm using)

OK, thanks! My files were just normal epubs, Ill try converting them and checking the metadata for japanese. Will report back.

In book only lets me select the words that get underlined when I long press.
