I wanted to check whether my spare battery actually worked, last night. So, I let my PDA drain completely (ignoring all warning about exchanging my battery). I had just installed it all fresh this weekend and had made a backup.

So, my PDA ran out of juice. I exchanged the battery (my spare battery, even though it says it isn't, is completely dead) and opened the backup program to restore the backup...

What backup?

Opening explorer, go to the SD card, empty!

Empty, so empty as if I'd just formatted it! No more books there, no more backup there... So, as I just can't live without my PDA (aka book), I just had to install everything again (which had to be done in precious reading time). Then I had to replace my books again.

And I still have no idea how that SD card got so empty...

(to be sure, I now placed a copy of that backup on my pc...)

Oh Sweetpea that's awful....I bet your heart skipped a beat or two when you realized the SD card was blank.

I was working on "The Snare" because somehow the last chapter(s) got cut off. I thought a cut and paste would be all right. But no!! As I did a check I saw that the tags and chapter links of the whole book were all the wrong way round (preventing thus to see the chapter title in its real format)

So I have to redo the whole shebang. Gotta love that!!!

My professor has just realized that she should have told us to buy the second edition of a book she is requiring. Most of us bought the first edition. It's a bit late to be trying to find the second edition now.

She also required a book that we've just learned is out of print until April. As it happens, I got that one, but most of the class couldn't find copies. Now what?

This is the same professor who "required" a whole bunch of books last semester that we never discussed in class.
