if you connect the reader you will see in the root folder a dictionary folder. From the reader gui is in Storage --> sdcard --> dictionary You should find a stardict-oxford-gb folder with 3 or 4 file inside (dict.dz / idx / ifo / yaidx). That's how a stardict dictionary look like. You must obtain, this is the difficult part, some *better* dictionaries in stardict format and then simply copy the folders there. I have on mine stardict-longman-2.4.2 (eng/eng) stardict-freedict-deu-ita-2.4.2 Francais_Italien_WB Francais_Italien_Expression-idiomatiques The nice thing is that when i do search a word, it's browsing all of those together. Please notice that some of the dictionaries on internet got an uncompressed .dict file which does not work with the i86. I had to compress those from dict to dict.dz with dictzip which i found just for linux. I found practical to install a stardict app for windows http://www.huzheng.org/stardict/ in order to quickly check the quality of the dictionaries i was downloading before putting them on the i86. Anyway, maybe i'm idiot :-) , after a month i did not discovered on the stock readers how to select a word or a whole phrase with the touch screen, i have to type the word with the keyboard. A decent manual would be better than guessing gestures. |

Does anyone know how to access the Security screen on the i86?
When I tried to install an app not from Google Play the screen came up. I changed a setting to allow me to proceed and I want to reset it. |

The Wiki says that the i86 will run DRM but Google Play Store says that the Adobe DRM app is incompatible with my device.
Any clues? Last edited by rine111; 08-21-2016 at 05:06 PM. |

I found out how to do this. You have to do things in the following order.
1. You don't need to use the Adobe DRM app to read DRM books on the i86. 2. Connect your i86 to your computrr. 3. Select to use i86 as USB device. 4. Open the Adobe DRM app on your computer. (If you haven't got this on your computer you need to download it from the Adobe site. When you open a DRM book from File Explorer you will be given the opportunity to register your computer with Adobe. Then close the app and restart before proceeding.) 5. Right click on the book you want to copy to the i86 (books appear in a pane on the right side of the Adobe DRM window). Select copy to device. Select the name of your i86. The copy will commence and you will see your i86 being registered as a DRM device with Adobe. The lesson from this is that the Android Adobe DRM app does not seem to be compatible with the i86, but the i86 will run DRM books as it is, provided you copy the DRM books to the i86 within the DRM environment. |

Hi,
I have two problems with the i86 which really annoy me, perhaps someone might have some tips? I use it a lot for browsing the internet, but the browser keeps crashing far too often. Do you have any experience with other browser apps, wich are more stable? Do you have the same experience, or do your browsers run stable? Otherwise this might be really related to my 2nd problem: it keeps saying "Not much phone space left". I am wondering if this means disk space or RAM? In the setting it says that I have about 5 GB disk space left, so it might be RAM related. Does anybody else have that problem and is there anything I can do about it? The firmware update did not help with it. I fear that this might be a cause for the browser and other apps crashing regularly. Kind regards, Fran |

@frantoo : maybe try browsers like UC Browser, Opera Mini, Apus Browser, Lightning ... (UC Browser is quite fast in my experience)

PS : for your memory issue maybe check in your settings the space used by downloaded apps. There s only about 500MB space for downloaded apps.

Thank you very much, Opera Mini with ad blocker seems to work quite well.
Now I also see that I only have 20 MB for apps left. It seems like not all apps can be moved to SD card. Does that get better when I root the device or switch to Android 4.4? Thanks! Fran |

Where do you see how much you have left for apps? Under Storage I have total available on Storage and on SD Card. Amount left for apps is not shown separately.
