Thanks for your feedback. I read that someone address this problem to the glue which isn't dried. Someone suggest to put the voyage under the sun. Yesterday I was all the day on the beach and my voyage was in my bag; the day was very hot and I left it there. When I returned home I noticed that the gradient effect was sligthly lesser noticeable. I attach here a photo, the left was taken yesterday night, the right was the photo which I posted in a previous post. All the photo were taken with the kindle brightness level at 24.
Maybe the effect of that is due the hot and high temperature?

That whole thing looks defective. I would attempt to return it.

I've just returned 2 Voyage which were worse than this one, I think all Voyage has this problem more or less emphasized. Not all the people have the same color sensitivity and consider their Voyage like a defective one

It's hard to evaluate screen variations and color shifts in photos and those that are hardly noticeable in person are exaggerated in pictures with flipped text. My Voyage was yellowish in the top third when I got it and after using it for awhile the yellow disappeared. I did not put it in the sun or heat, just used it normally. It still has a color shift top to bottom that is barely noticeable only at certain light settings and most times I can't see it at all (and I'm one who sees the color shifts). I would give your device a little time to see is it improves of if it is something you can live with. I think they all do have this color shift to some degree.

Funny how no one with a "perfect" Voyage screen has EVER been able to capture it in a photograph.

Why are you so persistent? Will you get money if you can 100% prove all Voyages have imperfect screens?

Do yourself a favor. Don't ever buy anything from Amazon because they might sell you something that you don't find perfect.

Do you even own a Voyage? Or are you just crying wolf?

You cannot get a perfect picture with a camera.

What is perfect to some is a terrible to others. I love my voyage and have from the day I received it. I have been someone over the years that have looked at reviews of anything then I made up my own decision. I have now owned a car for 10 years that I still love that the reviews of said car was about the worse I ever read. But it has been the best car I have ever owned and the only car I have ever kept for more than 4 or 5 years.
Some people would not be happy with anything they get. The could buy gold that is 99.99% pure and they would hate it because it was not 100% pure.

You'd have thought a community of book lovers could look past the device and just concentrate on the content.

I'm very happy with my Voyage. Is it 'perfect'? No. Is any e-reader 'perfect'? No.

However, they are able to perfectly engage me in the words laid out by the authors.

Very yellow at the top and very blue at the bottom. It doesn't matter as long as you like it.

The problem is when people claim to have a perfect screen with zero color gradient and then claim not to be able to photograph it. The Kindle Sasquatch keeps popping up.

^^^ Also a large color gradient from top to bottom but you accurately described it as "not perfect but good enough" which is all that matters.

I agree with those who claim that the top-down color gradient that plagues all Voyages is easier to live with than the left-right color gradient that all Oases suffer from.

That screen would be a pleasure to read on,

I don't think Kobayashi quite understands how the front lights work.... I believe there will always be a slight difference in lighting level, this doen't mean the screen is imperfect.

This whole thing reminds me of when people were up in arms about not having the regular screensavers if they bought their Kindles from Waterstones; it really doesn't matter
