I'm not illegible, but that makes sense since I "buy" kindle books with my slow shipping credits regularly.

I'm not eligible, no idea why. I buy very few Kindle books, generally only to get a Whispersync deal on Audible books.

I stopped using slow shipping credits when they started having them for apps too. I have 3165 coins, so I want to spend those, not fast shipping credits.

Huh!! I didn't look for the credit, but it SAID it had applied it. And I buy kindle ebooks quite regularly. So I wonder what the criteria really are......

I did finally read about a helpful hint, that is helping in my case: log into the router, go to any page which has an APPLY button. Don't make any changes, but hit APPLY anyway. This resets the router, and apparently empties some buffers or stored data (which even a power cycle didn't fix?? or at least, it's faster than a power cycle) and allows the iPad 2 to get 5-10 minute videos to work. I never watch anything long, so I don't know if it would help there. But it HAS helped get short clips to work.

So I do it regularly now, *before* the trouble starts to crop up. PS you are resetting the router, so don't do it WHILE your son is watching something!

Well, the slow shipping credits expire, after 30 days iirc, so you gotta use em on something quick.

I had to use slow shipping on Prime day because I was on vacation, and that credit expires on November 20th. That's a lot longer than 30 days.

I had a Comcast guy in to check the wires and everything. He said that the modem was having fine performance, but the wireless router was not. AND it did better when tested from a PC than from my Mac (which is a 2011 model, FWIW). Anyway -- it helps me.

The expiration date varies, they seem to run them on a quarterly schedule or so. So if you get a slow shipping credit at the beginning of the current one's schedule, it may not expire for three months. But if you get at the end, it might expire in a few days. I suspect they do this on purpose to prevent people from building up a huge amount of credits.
