There is no way to do what you want. Just go with the spelling as it is in the books you are reading. There's nothing incorrect about the spelling in the US. So no, they are not common spelling mistakes. They are just not the same spelling as used in AU. Just go with tit and let it be. Don't fret about changes that don't need to be changed.

The E-Book Editor will allow you to find/replace stuff inside a single book, but you will have to do each book separately.
There is no facility for automating editor processes across multiple books. Sorry. You can, however, use saved searches to automate the per-book processing. |

![]() It's easy enough to change the spelling. I know someone who uses Toxaris' ePub-Tools Word addin to convert ePubs to Word, she then uses its Search and Replace to replace spilled with spilt, humor with humour but not in humorously, appall with appal, but not in appalling, etc. Then she converts it back to ePub. But that doesn't fix the grammar or idioms - which she says doesn't bother her as much. US English is primarily based on what was used in pre-Enlightment 16th century, 'tis said they talk funny because they skipped a good part of the Great Vowel Shift. UK English is primarily based on what was used in post-Enlightment 18th century, and it came under the influence of the widespread teaching of Latin in the 19th and early 20th century. Aside: the UK government publishing bureaucrats want to ban the use of Latin abbreviations in their documents -- such as: e.g., etc., i.e., and so forth and so on. Hopefully people like Jacob Rees-Mogg (a.k.a the Member for the 18th century) will put the kybosh on that nonsense ![]() BR |
