Sutton Place by Deryn Lake is a US Kindle Countdown deal at $0.99 for about the next six days. I've never read any of her romance novels, but follow her on eReaderIQ for her historical mystery series, which is usually way way way too pricey for me. I'm not sure how much this is a traditional romance, although Kindle classifies it that way.

In any case, this title popped up at much more reasonable sale price and I may try it just for fun since I've enjoyed the couple of her mysteries that I've managed to find at even a semi-reasonable price.

I got a reply on Monday from Avon that they had identified the problem and were working on it. I didn't go back to check the site though. If it still hasn't been fixed, that's pretty bad. It's no wonder the big publishers are losing market share - they have no idea how to actually market their books directly to consumers.

I debated about whether this is a romance or a mystery, but in the end, even though SYKM lists it as a non-series title by Edie Claire, pretty much all of the recommendations in the blurb are romance related so I went with romance. In any case, Long Time Coming, is free right now at Kindle US.
