Maisy's drinking fountain just got here. I just set it up for her and she drank for about five minutes. It came in a big Amazon box so of course she is exploring it at the moment.

Several years ago I bought two of these. One of them broke, and I don't know what happened to the other.

Sweetpea would love that! She drinks from the toilet no matter what I've tried to get her to stop. She doesn't like the fountain it seems.

Trying to keep it together. Maisy has taken a turn for the worse. Local vet wants to put her to sleep but the price to do so is super expensive! I don't have that and they won't work with me. After hours of calling around I found a vet an hour away who will look at her for only $15. I am told he really cares about animals and he will work with us if it is her time. Got an appointment for tomorrow. He's in surgery today.

Maisy is currently in a large crate as she can't control her bowels at the moment. Lots of cleaning up. I had a couple of ugly cries but her appetite is hearty, her eyes are bright. She doesn't act sick and she is not happy about being restrained but it's for her own good.

Today has been horrible!

Blossom I am so sorry Maisy is not doing well. We are so blessed with a wonderful veterinarian with reasonable charges. I took dog and kitty in a couple of weeks ago and she only charged me for the kitty medication. Dog was fine. Just a cyst and a wart. I do hope Maisy responds to the new doctors treatment.

I have a regular fountain set up on the dryer for the kitties They love it and it has saved me so much mess on the floor in front of the dogs water bowl. It is kind of a pain to keep it clean so trade off on the floor mess. I am getting the routine sorted out and discovered the cord unplugs in the middle so I do not have to climb up over the washer to unplug it for cleaning.

Thinking good thoughts for Maisy.

I have been super busy the last few days. Catching up on the house and yard work and working on a mosaic project listening to a book.

I am still trying to decide which Energy bank to get. I think I want one that will plug into the wall for charging it.

I did get the Nook shipped off to my Mom. She decided the lap top would be too much for her. I can always send it later if she changes her mind. My brothers wife will set it up for her. She is the geek in that family.

Hey,
On the power banks, if you have a wall USB adapter, most charge with the same cord as your kindle.
Makes life real simple.

OHHHHHH Thank you for this. Now I get it. I could not figure how they were to be charged. This will make it so much easier. DUH on me. Makes it easy peasy. I can just charge it in my charging station. I have two kindle wall adapters. I just have to be sure to get one big enough to charge my RCA as it will be the device I would probably carry most.

I'm getting ready to leave, with temperatures predicted to rise to 30C today and even higher tomorrow I've set my alarm earlier than normal so I can go to the supermarket on the way to work instead of on the way back from work.

The first night at my friends' place I nearly got a heart attack. I had walked dog Luca and made sure all doors downstairs were locked. I was upstairs getting ready to take a shower when I heard someone coming up the stairs! It was Luca, who I've heard from a neighbour, now occassionally comes upstairs. She never did that before, the previous dog did, whenever she felt it was time for her walk in the morning and I was late she would sneak upstairs and jump around the bedroom.

Luca did it again when I was almost asleep. Luckily, in the two nights since she stayed downstairs.

At least 5200 mah and I personally would go with a 10,000 mah.

I just had lunch. Hubby and I just had a big cry. The diagnosis is diabetes. Treatment is expensive and I wish we could afford it. I love her so much. Tommorow we say goodbye. Maisy is mad. She didn't like the long ride. She just upended her food and water. Sitting there with her tail flapping hard giving me that defiant look that says "@#$&!." Ah that's Miss Maisy for you.

The vet told us years ago to put her down because she was aggressive. She'd bite and clawed and hubby was her pin cushion/chew toy. She was a big bully but I refused. I just kept loving her then we rescued Sweetpea and she suddenly had to compete with her new sister. Maisy behaviour changed. She became the sweetest cat. Her and hubby made peace. They love each other. She's daddy's girl. She sits on his chair with him or in his lap.

She's had a wonderful happy 13 years the last year she's been ill so I won't say 14. I'm gonna miss her. She's been my constant companion for 14 years. We've been through so much together.
