Sometimes books have more than one series attached to them. how do I get Calibre to recognize that a book has more than one series attached to it?

By creating a custom column, e.g. "#secondaryseries". The series field cannot contain multiple series'. |

Yes, we do know, and the answer is that for technical reasons it cannot and will not happen. It has been asked before. |

When does THAT stop. 'Sucks' that Calibre can't handle 5 series. 10 series, a blue fish. There are suggestions of things folk have tried to manage THEIR (every collection is really unique) Library. Try those on for 'best fit' One size fits NONE

If it is an anthology I split the ebook into its component parts. I also have a "#subseries" custom column for series' with multiple internal story arcs. |

Btw I disagree about the multiple series in the end calibre is just a database and calibre internal filing system uses just the author name and title. So it could be possible to have multiple entries pointing to the same book/file with each entry having a different series but same author and title. It would require a major rewrite of the calibre though and with the amount of code calibre now has only Kovid probably could do it without breaking anything.
