Thank you so much tubemonkey for posting all those Prime Day deals.
I have been wanting an echo for ages and finally took the plunge when you alerted about the $50 off for Prime members. I signed up for the free trial and ordered, although the $50 savings got eaten up with adding the remote and a spare power cable ![]() It arrived by a reshipper yesterday (I am not in the US) and is all set up. Do you know how to check your credit balance? I had thought the credit could be used for Kindle books sold by Amazon, but I don't see any credit there. I did get an email and it said it's good for eligible products sold by Amazon.com, but I can't find what eligible products means.

Good luck with CS. I had the worst ever CS call to Amazon today concerning a Fire HD 6 I just received. The woman was in India, had a thick accent, and neither of us could understand each other very well. Plus she was totally clueless about my issue. I asked her to transfer me to someone else several times, but she totally ignored me. I even hung up and started another CS attempt, but I got the same person on the call again. I was pissed, and she no doubt learned a few new American curse words. I finally got the issue resolved by doing a lot of internet searching. It was the most aggravating CS call I've ever been on, and the least useful too.

Actually I'm very well educated and really don't have a Texas accent, but I don't have her accent either. I was very polite the first several times I requested to be transferred, but she NOT so politely refused. I then got angry and demanded a transfer, but it never happened. They probably get dinged if they fail to answer a customer's questions satisfactorily. But still, they should honor a request for transfer regardless of the customer's reason for asking.
BTW, I don't really think she was having trouble understanding what I was saying. I think her problem was she didn't know the product very well and was confused/stupid. Can't fix stupid, so I finally just gave up and found a solution myself. |
