The sentence structure is sorely lacking, too.

No I was just browsing their site to see what books have been published in the last year and came across it. I'm sure other sites it's spelled correctly but someone on the Avon Romance site needs a spell checker badly and a new job.

I am a romance book junkie too.

How odd. The Amazon description for the book is fine but on Avon's own website, it looks like the letter "p" has been dropped from every word where it appears. Honestly, they should be ashamed of themselves. I wonder if the author is even aware of this. I happen to like Megan Frampton. Her books are definitely in the "mistorical" category, but they are fun reads.

I think someone needs to let someone know. Should I leave her a message or try to contact Avon? I figured they are mistoricals. I'm not as strict on that seeing while trying to read Holt I keep seeing modern things in my head. Like cars and electricity. I'm having a hard time focusing on the time period and what it was like back then. Maybe it's time to pull out those DVDs of Pride and Prejudice someone here sent me years ago.

Update: it's every blurb on the site it seems. So Avon it is.

Handbag welding. Its the next new hobby craft craze, just you wait

I wish I knew which sci fi romance you got the arc for. Its one of my favorite sub genres and it seems its the hardest to find the good stuff in. It is amazing how much SFR garbage is being put out. So I always like to stay away from the bad stuff. I don't read samples of books so I have to rely on friends reviews, or goodreads followees. I can't even trust most reviews anymore, especially on Amazon as so many now have the street teams and arc teams that are only there to supply 5 star rah rah reviews out the gate.

Pretty amazing how many indy books have average ratings of over 4 stars, many even 4.5 stars. Yet you look at some of the greats in the romance genre and 3.8 used to be a great high average rating.

I don't browse anymore. I been adding books to wishlists for KU as I come across them from recs and then read those. My wishlists are quite large now and I have one for each subgenre, which makes it easy to grab them right from my Oasis.

Thankfully Montlake has a lot of stuff to pick from and at least I know I get a edited read there. And a few other small publishers are in it with some books.

Since I've read a couple of her books and enjoyed them, I'll send the author a note. Maybe you could try contacting Avon? Sadly, the author is more likely to get this fixed than we are.

I used to not like mistoricals, but now I just take them for what they are and don't get hung up on the historical accuracy. As long as the story is entertaining and well-written, I'm good.

You are so right. So many of them have covers that I just love, but the story itself is such garbage. I am a sucker for a fabulous cover, and often click to add them to my WL, then I have to go back later and delete them, after I read some reviews.

Before I sent the email, I checked the other books in her series, and sure enough, the blurbs were wrong on them also in exactly the same way.

It all books not just Megan's but she probably has a way to get them to fix it faster.
