Yah!!!!! What I get for not reading to the end of all the posts before commenting. So glad you are back up and running.

I think I would go nuts with out my internet too. Seems different if I walk away from it and do not come back for hours but when I know I can not have it GGGRRRRRRRR We had issues with it several years ago but we had power it was some thing about a battery in our out side internet box. They finally fixed it.

I was having a panic attach when both my kindle and Nook had used up batteries. I managed to get the kindle back by plugging it in for a little bit. My own fault for forgetting to charge it . Now I have a charger by the bed if I need it late at night so I do not have to get up. Height of being lazy. LOL

Yep me too. 5 port charger for my devices. I have my Kobo, cellphone, tablet and my other phone I use as a phablet on my nightstand. Oh and a fire phone I use as a Kindle.

2 different charging areas in the living room. Charger in the kitchen. 2 car chargers with a splitter.
Oh and a couple of battery powered chargers.
And yes, extra chargers in a drawer.

Tomorrow I'm off to dog/house sit for friends for three and a half weeks. This morning I started packing. First the stuff that I don't need to use today or tomorrow morning. Tonight I'll pack my clothes and tomorrow morning I'll pack the last of my stuff.

Right now I'm going to look into a powerbank charger. I love my new tablet, but because of it's thinness the battery isn't huge and a wireless charger will come in handy, especially when I'm on vacation or house sitting (where I haven't got chargers scattered all over the place).

I've decided not to take any card making/photo journalling stuff with me. Just my colouring book, pencils, a sketch book and my cheapo watercolour set. I'm going to challenge myself to finish colouring in at least two pages a week.

But before that I still need to make a birthday card for my sister. I've already prepared it, I only need to cut it out, put it together and stamp it. Which is what I'm going to do right now.

So far the little charging box I made from a wood bread box is working well. It is placed in a better spot than dragging everything up to my china cabinet in the dinning room. The devices usually make it to be charged. I just was distracted leaving early for hubbies chemo the other morning and forgot to plug it in.

I have been considering one of those carry around chargers. I was not sure they would work with a kindle having been advised not to use anything but the specific charger for it. I am sending the Nook away to Mom. Soon I hope. Leaving me with three kindels and the RCA Cambio. Tablets are really fun.

I have used a power bank with a kindle. I have also used the 5000 one with my tablet.
Heck I just plug the kindle into whichever cord is handy. Charged two completely dead ones from the car. Neither came with a cord.
The catch is make sure the power bank is not too small.

I almost never use the "specific charger" for my kindles. I have a 5-port USB jobby, with sufficient power to each spigot ... and I use a generic cable too. No problem.

I think one of the kindle cords is from the dollar store and it seems to work fine. Maybe I should not do that? I did order cords for the Nook and they were supposed to be the right ones for my model but neither worked. to charge. I never tried to see if they would transfer data?

Thank you Cinisajoy.So the difference in the cost is the more expensive hold more of a charge and the less expensive do not hold much and you provide your own battery. I am going to get one of the moderate priced ones holding more charge. My little RCA does tend to go low on battery on long chemo days. We can never predict when those days will happen. It sadly seems it is happening more often lately. Meaning more people with cancer needing doctoring. :'(

I would recommend a 5200 mah no lower if you will be charging a tablet.
