You need to read them in order. Most Overdrive libraries will have them all. They are very popular books. The first twelve are the best. Although thirteen is one of my favorite. The later ones past eighteen are ghost written probably by her daughter and do not have the humor that Janet can write. Don't get me wrong they are still a fun read but I highly recommend reading them in order. Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk |

One of the few books that made me laugh out loud was Bryson's "Neither Here Nor There".

Jasper Fforde's books are very funny. E.F. Benson's Mapp and Lucia novels as well. The latter are PD and have been uploaded to the MR library in a nice edition by HarryT. |

When I was depressed, I had problems concentrating, these Blyton books really helped: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Mysteries-C...ds=Enid+Blyton The other books in the series are also available as collections. They're lots of fun but will leave you wanting cream cakes! |

			If it's a book you've enjoyed reading, then it's a fun read.

I add his Blandings books to the list as well - I like them just as much, perhaps even more. And no need to stop there either - there are other series and stand-alones which are all wonderful. | |

Ever read the Mrs. Pollifax books by Dorothy Gilman, starting with "The Unexpected Mrs. Pollifax?" I've enjoyed the ones I've read. Mrs. Pollifax is an aging widow who is becoming dangerously depressed, and decides she needs a change of pace. So she applies to the CIA for work as a spy.... When you're tired of reading, here's some movies that always cheer me up: It's a Wonderful Life Star Wars That Thing You Do The Princess Bride |

You want fun?! Did you say you want fun??!! Well, come closer....closer... have I got something for you: 1) Thorne Smith https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thorne_Smith Think "Topper," and you'll be half-way there. 2) Clarence Day Remember the film "Life with Father"? -- Well, he was also a writer (from which the film was based). Check out some of his books. |
