@dr drib I understand that it's not your fault that the forum does not support @mention, activity streams, etc. which would allow us to follow persons or tags.

Please understand that the VIPs (geekmaster, knc1, ...) and other nerds work around this by posting here. We would simply miss their posts otherwise.

Maybe we should rename this to the Kindle Nerd Forum so visitors will know what to expect, and perhaps have less misunderstanding and false assumptions? And nerd haters will either stay out or be polite (by OUR standards) if they want our help. The rename may help moderators too, to be less prone to break our will to force us to conform to their "standards". FYI, nerd, hacker and geek are all synonyms that we accept proudly. We are what we are and we cannot change that.

Some things have already been happening -
For instance, the forum's stated purpose (which started all of this) has quietly been rewritten.
We (according to the forum's caption in the index) no longer support Amazon-Android-anything.
That is left to the folks in the Android Development Forum (I guess it is anyway).

Hey, now I can (once again) ask that the post about the Fire TV be moved.
